Yeah...there was in a time when the police wouldn't even make a missing persons report for anyone until 24hrs. Can you believe that?

Your kid could not come home from school at 3pm, it could be 5pm and you'd call them and say "he's not home from school, he's 10...somethings wrong." And they'd say "Just wait until 3pm tomorrow if he isn't home then, they we will make a missing persons report. Until then just wait at home, call friends and family, drive around to the places he usually goes to or likes, maybe he's there, we're sure he'll turn up. If he doesn't give us a call, ok?"

People in DC are fed up. The below image is from a post on this story on the most popular DC centric Instagram page. Since last year people in the comments on this page kept saying this would eventually happen when stories about crime would be posted. People are sick and tired of slow response times from police or police flat out not coming for smaller crimes like a car break in when you call it in. Adults failed him, but if you wanna play in the streets..... You might die in the streets. Age don't matter.

Kids ain't thinking about light sentences. They do things just to do them. They aren't thinking that far ahead.

100 percent. The homeowner should have called the cops. His life wasn't in immediate danger. Just vigilantism gone wrong.

Kids don't want to go to detention, no kids on Earth is saying, "Let's do this shyt cause I'm only gonna do 3 years in the slammer and I'm looking forward to spending my teenage years locked up with a bunch of savages and no girls".

It's been shown over and over that violent criminals DON'T think about the consequences when they act, that's the only reason they do this shyt. They either think they'll get away with it or they don't care.

The USA has literally the strongest juvenile penalties in the entire developed world, yet has the worst juvenile crime out of all of them. Perhaps more of the same isn't the solution?

Trust me these kids know or the older gang banging adults that put them up to it Know the punishment would be lighter compared to what an adult would get.
