What DC needs to realize is that their bread and butter is the visceral and grimey themed side stories.

They had potential w/ Suicide Squad but they embarrassed themselves w/ trying to be silly/funny OD like Marvel. Someone needs to tell them that jokes don't make the movie, great writing makes the movie.

Had they maintained a more dark tone w/ humor at the times that would make sense...shyt would have been really good. I actually thought Jared Leto's joker could have been serviceable.

I need to see more Harley Quinn, though. (I only pawg in gotham.)

Joker can be the X-factor that really concretes DC's direction.

I ranted too much, sorry. End of the day, that Shazam shyt is lame. Let me see how Ledger's Joker got his scars. Let me see a movie about a man's journey from a horrifically severe back injury go through hell to recover and you only truly find out it's Bruce until the end. Let me see a live action Killing Game that is ONLY focusing on the Joker's actions and his fascination w/ Commisioner Gordon's daughter - I want that shyt to be a sexual thriller on some Silence of the Lambs shyt.

DC needs to be the film version of Game of Thrones.

I think they got the formula right with the Watchmen movie

Shazam flopped at the box office though, lowest selling dc movie in the DCEU,and this after aquaman came through and made a billion so you would think there would be some carry over but nah. Man of Steel sold more than shazam.

Problem is everybody wants to make him this Jesus allegory that can’t connect with nobody which is ass. The DCAU and Reeves movies proved that Superman can do well in other media.

Just make him that big blue Boy Scout and parallel to Batman. A Thor ragnorok style Superman movie would do gangbusters.

Also, a confident Superman is off in space fighting universal threats. He's not doing his version of "petty crime" crime-stopping on earth. So that means the CGI game has to be above A1 in order to do a confident Superman story correctly

Subpar CGI is a major reason why the Green Lantern movie didn't do well(I really liked the story though)

The stupid thing about DC is that they don't realize Lois is irrelevent. Younger generations of fans of superhero media(casual fans) didn't even grow up on Lois and Superman,we grew up on Lana and Superman

Supes considers himself more human than alien. That's why he'll defend Earth first more than anything. Always said a good Brainiac as a foe would be great.
