It's a valid comparison if people are really going to rate a group based off of one classic album. It's also valid if people are going to place a group with one classic over a group with a catalog with great albums (a couple of which are held as classics in their own right). I don't see how saying Dogg Pound being held in this thread as an elite group is any different than someone saying The Fugees are elite based on The Score. It doesn't matter if Dogg Pound made "harder" music vs. the "softer" music that The Fugees made.
yeah, they can't seem to accept the fact that ball and g released dope music for way longer than the dogg pound did, as a group/duo. it doesn't matter how classic dogg food was, cause they never came close to releasing another album that good. ball and g did it consecutively. you know who has the better group discography, when everyone mentions dogg food as the best pound release, while it could be any of the first 3 that they did.
it's funny, cause this reminds me exactly of what the wu-tang die hards will try and do...
i still say, dpg has the better solo's, but it's no doubt as to who has the better group releases.
