Its business.

I’d advice you to get in on it. Much less red tape to deal with here and the money turn around is much quicker.

It’s not a charity. It’s quick money…and why let all the other foreigners have all the fun? I’d be much happier seeing Black Americans cake here than these racist Lebanese and others.
Here's my take....it's a business they're not running a charity over there. Money can be made anywhere in the world even in poor nations. Yes you can make millions and billions in Nigeria. You clearly don't understand this. If you fulfill a need or opportunity you can make money anywhere in the world and there's a case to make money in Africa because guess what it's underdeveloped, it's cheap and yes sadly it's also corrupt so you have less red tape. I can't recoup my investment in Philly, you might need $100 million to build a hotel there. But in Nigeria I might build it for 10th of the cost and at a faster space.

Now yes there are some Americans that go to run charities but even those folks are in it for their bottom line because at the end of the day if you don't put food on your own table you can't put food on someone else's.

Notice all these cats care about is money meanwhile Latinos building their community up, white hold their community down.

Let me tell you a story.

I asked my boy, who is Latino, about a job.

He told me to go to this place. I went and it’s basically a construction staffing and contracting agency. Everyone up in there? All Latino. Greeter? Latina. Managers? Latino. Everyone there is Hispanic. The company they help staff? It’s called Marek and it’s also full of Latinos. They are taking care of their own I’m telling you. I have never seen black folks hold each other down like that since the 90’s or 00’s. In order for us to overcome we got to look out for each other.

Here’s me their other week with a quote about Latinos building their community.

But black business folk say “it’s business.”

Money driven leeches. Money is your God.

NYC too expensive? Philly too expensive? Invest in a different American city.

The question is you got opportunity in your own country and you’re making luxury shyt in a foreign nation. It’s suspect and not helping out your own. This is why I’m skeptical to back to Africa movements. In a way it is a different form of c00nery. It’s wild to make things for strangers and not the people that brought you up. Philly doesn’t have a market for luxury hotels so instead of helping Philly which is full of black people, they’re over there doing this for strangers. It’s baffling. I’ve seen black folks travel to Ghana and build libraries for them and parade it on social media when black kids in America are struggling to read.

Focusing on Africa when our own people are suffering is abject foolishness. I give African nations kudos and absolutely celebrate cooperated effort but when black Americans put a lot of focus on building Africa up when your momma, poppa, grandma, granddaddy all the way down to the ancestors before the civil war settled and struggled on this land I pause. Making luxury hotels and wanting a pat on the fukking back when the people in the neighborhood you were raised in are probably struggling. It’s c00nery and putting Africanism on a pedestal.

Exactly Breh you are exactly correct there are small rural majority Black towns in the south where the household income is barely 20k a year.

Our people have been struggling and fukked over since slavery in some of these small towns yet we have negros being lured by the concept of Wakanda instead of helping their own people.

That shyt is shameful.

Business is business. Folks dont generally go into business to follow some uphold the community down. They go in to make a profit. shyty Latino communities all over the U.S. which more often than not are tied to a lack of access to capital and poor local government support. The fukk are you talking about? Ive seen more thriving Black communities than Latino ones.

This myopic bullshyt youre on is unrealistic. Everything isnt done for charity. Black Americans have every right to enjoy money making ventures like any other group in the world and here you putting on some charitable shyt while downplaying your own people to uplift Latinos. :camby:

Wakanda :mjlol:

The people who benefit from those projects in Africa are not the community. Its other rich Africans, a minority, and you here talking about “building Wakanda?”

Wake the fukk up.

The road to prosperity does not equal that they are doing better NOW.

A conversation around anti-blackness and its impact in America compared to other groups is one thing, but dude implied that going that going to Africa as an African American represents some sort of perversion, as if they are going there to build Wakanda.

No. They are going there to profit off of rich Africans who represent a minority, not build a Wakanda, a mythical place where ALL Black people benefited. :childplease:

They arent coming here to build affordable housing and a livable wage for African communities. The fukk Wakanda are these idiots talking about?

I implied that not him.

And I stand on it.

It's some sort of escapism fantasy.

There is a reason women lead the charge with that back to Africa talk.

Escapism fantasy?

This is a dunderhead forum. I swear.

I was in a forum years back in the city with upper to middle class Black Americans where the topic was around investing in Africa. These were monied Black investors, not just “wOMeN.”

It was about making money. Why the fukk do yall turn this into some Kumbiya shyt? :mindblown:

My man owns about four houses in Newark, two in Texas, one in Puerto Rico and has interest in Nigeria.

When it comes to Nigeria, idiots in here suddenly think hes trying to “build Wakanda” rather than make money.

Worst of all, the dummies double down on the Wakanda ethos to them pretend that Latinos are out there making their own Latino Wakandas and shyt.

:camby:

I swear….some of your internet geeks get in your own way posting your dumb ass thoughts online, even to the detriment of your own people.

Africa is not my home, instead of having fantasies about fleeing to Africa FBA/ADOS people need to have fantasies about getting to the modern version of where we were after reconstruction.

We need local, county, and state power.
I don’t understand why posts like this upset ppl. Especially considering what Davido has said. :mjlol:
