What's going on in the DR lately? They haven't been receiving the greatest press in the past month.

First off, WAY more people go to Mexico than go to DR. Cancun alone is still killing it.

Second, even with DR's budget travel biz most Americans still don't know shyt about it. I bet you 90% of those tourists are coming from the east coast. No one from the midwest or west coast is going to DR like that when TJ, Acapulco, Cancun, Belize all much closer. Hell, the flights to Hawaii from here are much shorter and cheaper than the flights to the DR. They don't even offer nonstop flights from LA, you gotta have a layover and it takes 9 hours to get there.

Anyone from LA who bothers to fly all the way to the Caribbean is probably going to be going to Jamaica.

I can name 5 people off the top of my head who I know who have been to DR over the past 7-10 years ... and there are actually MANY threads ON HERE about traveling to DR dating back several years ... so much so , that some of the more recent posts in those threads are talking about how DR has historically been a budget, pseudo “exotic” travel spot off the continental U.S.

If I'm his father or brother etc, I'm getting the jet on standby ASAP. As soon as he's able we flying the fukk outta there. I don't trust nobody that aint family. And if I got to get that stick and stay in the room myself, he not leaving my sight until we out of that fukking country.
