I don't get what people wanted? Why did people want a Scarface ending, Goodfellas, Casino, Carlito's way or Godfather ending where someone get wacked. Why did people want Tony's brains splattered on the table. I think cause of all the bad he had done, People thought there would be some Krama justice. When that screen went to black, everyone emotions went crazy. But Maybe David Chase didn't want to take that same ol' approach.

I always viewed the show as kind of a lucid dream and there were even episodes that focused on Tony being in a dream state that watching it felt like reality. Honestly, Yes I think Tony did die cause everything leaded up to that episode made sense. Also "Member's Only" is the Key episode. It was when Junior shot Tony and the guy in the Bar at the end had a "Member's only" jacket. Yo Dudes were so wrong about David Chase. He's a brillant writer and that last Episode was so deep it's Classic.

Still the worst damn series finale ever, I recently re watched the whole series and skipped that ending just so I wouldn't get mad as shyt all over again

In my mind they left and Tony flipped to avoid jail and save his family. Regardless of Philly no longer being around dude had no crew left to earn with, the only choice left was to make a deal to take down a even bigger fish in the mob game.

As obvious as the convo with Bobby made it seem, all the talk he was doing with Agent Harris at the end made it look to me like dude was ready to flip, especially once he saw what was going on with his kids.
