He won't be dropping again anytime soon.

The label will put his resources into newer artist.He's not showing any kind of return

His next one was supposed to be the LP, "the album" we all been hearing about.

But judging by his comments here, it seems like he hasn't even been working on the project... How can you, when you're just announcing the producers "you want" on it, and not that you already got the tracks done or actively working on it.

Which means none of the previews we heard are going to be on the album. There might be another mixtape or "EP" out before that with those tracks.

This album is for the street nikkas and real hip hop heads its the geeks and the culture vultures who hate on it. True hip hop, no fake stories straight real. You can relate or you can understand. Dave East can rap and got the hoes jockin cuz he keep it thorough. He keep dropping albums like this and the way he is as an artist he get better with every project, he'll be solidified in discussions when you bring up the greats. Not saying he top 5, but he can be highly respected hip hop wise. In the streets he official

Decent numbers but dude could've sold waaay more than this. All of the single based artists are doing numbers right now because of streaming and he got too many bangers in the tuck to not be taking advantage of that. Even worse, I watched that Breakfast Club interview and found out that Wayno is not even his manager anymore. Def Jam is running the show now Not a good sign. I'm hoping that they don't fukk this up but I feel like the jig is slowly approaching.

Definitely not an objective review. When your introductory statement is "New York is the mecca of rap" and you follow up by mentioning "the fall of Curtis Jackson" I already know where the article is going. You compared him to Nas and other NY rappers throughout the article. Just judge it for what it is. That being said, the score you gave wasn't far off from mine. I personally gave it a 3/5
