NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
On top of it all he has prospered from these events, I hope he's prosecuted to the fullest extent that the law allows.

I've already read there will be STASI esque tactics put in place to monitor movie theaters and have police outside of them in NY. He's lead this country down a dark path indeed. Not only are my tax dollars being wasted but, hes furthered the Police State.

I don't know Nolan personally but I can't help but feel he is a bad person.

fukk u mean he prospered?...how?..by taking a hit on weekend sales?..by having his movie promotion pulled from tv stations?..by cancelling movie premiers and other countries?..this shyt effected him more NEGATIVELY than positively...I know people who was planning on seeing the movie who decided they don't even wanna go anymore...all cause some psycho ass nut job wanted to get some attention?..fukk outta here...if that's the case...we need to persecute all horror movie directors...action movie directors..etc...let's just have all PG movies like Ice Age n shyt...that dude couldve pulled influence from ANYTHING...shyt..he couldve checked out some PAST murders and decided he wanted a one up on them and wanted the media attention...blame the fukkin shooter man..and if u jokin that's somethin else...but that dude was a grown ass man...not no impressionable child...he knew EXACTLY wtf he was doin and he shouldve known right from wrong...u sayin all of this but u prolly was on board to see the movie if u didnt see it already...

The media shouldn't even acknowledge this pos. We shouldn't know this kid's name or even know what he looks like. He wanted to be famous and be known as a real life "joker" and now he got his wish. I was just watching cnn and they did a whole biography on his life it's disgusting

the fukk are you talking about ? the only realistic use of a gun in civil society if you dont hunt (:skip:) is to protect yourself. and lets face it, guns are used FAR less for that purpose than other ones

the right to bear arms does more harm than good. there'd be far less crime if guns were illegal and possession of a firearm were a serious crime.

u talkin bout revolution, but in revolution you dont need fukking weapons, you need power of people.

u really think a revolution can be done with fukking handguns when government got top of the line chemical weapons and shyt ? :scusthov: what are you, 12 ?

dude they not gonna use that many chemical weapons on their own soil, And mad people with handguns and AR 15s running up in city hall unexpected is gonna get further than people going in just with their bare hands. You gotta have some type of weapon if we gonna do anything. Some lives will have to be lost obviously when the government does use the weapons youre talking about on us, but in the long run it will be worth it to get out of this modern day slavery we in. We need guns bottom line.

You blaming guns, Im blaming the society being fuccked up that makes having a gun a necessity. Yeah if the government wasnt so corrupt and actually had the peoples interest at heart and werent forcing us into modern slavery at every turn, I would abolish all guns. But we dont live in that world, so we need guns, Soon you gonna wanna abolish free speech too son? :shaq2: Stop being a sheep

At the minimum, you buy 6,000 rounds of ammo, the ATF should be paying you a visit. Its too easy to buy guns, an semi-auto AR 15 is nothing to fucck with. A fully auto AR 15 would have meant way more people dead.

Was the Batman movie shooting imitated from scene in 1986 comic?

July 20, 2012

The horrific shooting at the screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado late last night bears eerie similarities to a scene in the 1986 comic Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. In the comic, a crazed, gun-toting loner walks into a movie theater and begins shooting it up, killing three in the process. The passage concludes with the media blaming Batman for inspiring the shooting, though he is not involved in the incident at all.

The 1986 comic, written and drawn by Frank Miller, was a key inspiration for the Chris Nolan Batman films. It helped to reimagine the character away from his Saturday morning cartoon image and into a dark, grim avenger. The point of this particular scene in the comic was to show just how far Gotham has fallen since Batman had retired.

Was the shooter imitating this scene from the comic? Maybe, although in the scene the shooter is portrayed as inspired by his disgust at pornography and heavy metal music. The police’s investigation will surely reveal more in the near future.

Eerie Coincidence: Colorado University Had Identical Drill On Same Day As ‘Batman’ Massacre

Exercise revolved around gunman attacking theater

A Colorado university just 16 miles away from the site of Friday morning’s deadly ‘Batman’ massacre staged an identical exercise the very same day in which students were trained how to react to a gunman firing at people in a movie theater.

“Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine is in the middle of holding specialized classes in disaster life support for 150 second-year medical students. Along with response to natural disasters like hurricanes and floods and terrorist attacks, one of the scenarios being used to train the students is how to respond if a shooter fires at people in a movie theater and also uses a bomb in the attack,” reports the Denver Post.
The added detail of a bomb being used in the drill makes the similarity with the shooting even more creepy given the fact that gunman James Holmes used a smoke bomb during his deadly assault.

The drill was part of an Advanced Disaster Life Support Training exercise which involves emergency specialist physicians. The shootings in Aurora were actually incorporated into the training at the University which took place just hours after the massacre.

“The irony is amazing, just amazing,” said Rocky Vista Dean Dr. Bruce Dubin.
The school drill was just one of a number of strange coincidences that eerily paralleled the tragic massacre druing which 12 people were killed dozens more injured.

One of them was a 1986 Batman cartoon in which “a crazed, gun-toting loner walks into a movie theater and begins shooting it up.”
As Angus Hogwarth notes, there are numerous other paralells with the Batman series involving acts of violence taking place in theaters.
In another shocking coincidence, a trailer that preceded The Dark Knight Rises for a movie called Gangster Squad shows gangsters emerging from behind the screen to shoot up a movie theater. Warner Brothers were forced to desperately pull the trailer within hours of the Aurora shooting.
