They never said that in the show, their explanation was that Stick trained him on how to hone his senses (unless I'm wrong). Again I don't have an issue with any of it I just find it out of place so stop getting your diapers in a bunch

just finished it this season was damn near flawless what stood out to me was
when Kingpin asked for Matt's file and when Matt told Karen he's Daredevil has me feeling they just might go the "Born Again" route..
Yeah I've seen season 1 and also just skimmed through the first couple eps and they don't talk about how the chemicals were special and dramatically heightened his senses beyond a normal person's. I know in real life blindness can actually increase the other senses so that's what I always assumed was their explanation

The chemicals were a freak accident and they haven't delved into the nature of those chemicals cause there's no secondary/tertiary characters in cannon to provide that info. Him and his dad would have to have had intel on who was driving the truck with the chemicals, where it was going, what company it was for, what the chemicals were, etc. I suspect they might in the future, but the nature of the chemicals isn't required or a key element of the mythos. But stick in flashbacks broke stuff down to matt. And Matt himself explained some stuff to Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson's character.)

Just rewatched the bench scene with Stick and young Matt and no talk of the chemicals being special, just that Matt has "gifts" which once again I'm assuming is a reference to the real life science behind blindness and heightened sense. I would love to be proven wrong
