Burden of Proof ain’t a classic…I’ll say Tana Talk 3 is a new age underground classic along with the first FlyGod

I might have to check one of them outCan even knock these opinions because all Carti’s album are neck in neck for me.
Carti is a real “album artist” in an era where there aren’t many of those.

What am I supposed to do with this?
Sounds like white boy suicide music
I like BOP but this made me laughHaving the audacity to compare that crash dummy’s early 00s Jay-Z fantasy album to Victory Lap.
Victory Lap is a cultural marker, nobody besides internet rap dorks have heard Burden of Proof or even know who Benny is.
He's right.
Problem is, most people are scared to say this because they're worried about being called "old" or "out of touch". Dudes will pretend to like new sh*t just so they can look current, even if it's trash. Hip Hop needs to get back to calling out wack sh*t for what it is. People are too shook to do it now.

On another note, I’m now gonna check out victory lap
There’s no evolution. Production has evolved, but today's MC is less skilled than the dudes who were getting deals in 1991. I refuse to point the finger directly at youngins in the rap game though, they are being programmed not to have respect.I think the old heads often invalidate themselves when they stop taking stylistic evolution into account.
Cuban Link is one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. But that shyt sound lofi, slow, and old school to younger people. Times have changed.
A rap classic isn’t going to sound the same now as it did then.
classic for production & the aesthetics attachedThat ain’t no classic fam maybe to Carti’s cult fanbase but his self titled and Die Lit are ranked higher
has there been an indisputable classic rap album dropped within the last 5 years? honest question.
