What do ya'll think of AJ Reeves?

:ehh:

Celtics signed him. 6'6", 38% from 3 in college

Shot reminds me of Carsen Edwards. Locks it in high up top and gets heaven scraping arc. Kinda reminds me a lil of Jeff Green coming of handoffs / curls getting to his right hand.

But he never once averaged double figures in his career and he shot 35.4% from 3 in his college career. The 38% from 3 was as a freshman. He did shoot 37.3% as a senior on 161 attempts, which was his attempts high in his college career.

I'ma root for him since he from Roxbury.

If he could become a Jeff Green, that would be amazing for the Celtics

I'm still weary about the team's Wing rotation. Seems kind of light. Jayson and Jaylen will need someone to back them up for the season and playoffs

I'm weary of this too. But I've seen people try to say that Brogdon is a wing / played the wing in Milwaukee. I've seen others try to say that he's here to fill the Hayward role as a Swiss Army knife, playmaking wing. But he's still a PG to me.

Maybe they'll trade White or Marcus for a wing. Iont wanna hear about Sam Hauser either. I can't see him being counted on come playoff time.

Thank you. Brogdon is a big point guard, not a wing. Yeah I still wished they used that $17 mill TPE. Could have gotten Marcus Morris or another wing to come off the bench. Hauser is a good shooter, but his footspeed is really bad lol. Matt Ryan... ehhh

Maybe White or Marcus are on the trading block, and they are keeping it a secret until the trading deadline, and that's why they didn't use the TPE

Yeah I wished they would have used the TPE too. Apparently it woulda actually cost like $55 mill instead of the $17 due to being in the tax but I don't like that way of thinking when you got Golden State running around with the highest payroll of all time and paying the highest luxury taxes ever.

I wanted Powell last year instead of Fournier, then he got traded to Portland. Then he got traded again. I think he'd be perfect for the C's. I'd trade Marcus for him straight up. I'm still holding out hope for that.

No team is gonna pay that much in tax for a 9th or 10th man. Warriors are deep in the tax because of how much they’re paying their starters. Basically everybody coming off the bench for the Warriors is either on a minimum deal or rookie contract

Funny thing about Powell, he’s actually not bigger than any of Smart, White & Brogdon

At least they got Brogdon in lieu of the TPE. I'ma just look at it like he was who the TPE was used on.

Yeah, I wanted Powell for his shooting prowess and I woulda / would slide Jaylen to the 3.

Whats your feeling on the Celtics' back up wings, do you think they have enough to help Jayson and Jaylen?

Yes because we added players that are capable of putting the ball in the basket so that those guys can get rest without having to worry about being rushed back in so the offense doesn’t fall apart. Plus having another PG that can run the offense means less usage for them. All that adds up over the course of a season/playoffs.

I’d imagine we’ll also see 3-guard lineups with Smart, Brogdon & White all out there together

True. Yeah the 3 guard lineup can really take Jayson and Jaylen off the ball. That was the biggest concern during the playoffs. Teams could just load up on them. I also heard Brad Stevens say he wants to instill a post offense, I like that. I felt Celtics had the most predictable offense in the playoffs

Don't know if I'ma be "looking stupid as fukk" again like in that "C's have offered Jaylen for Durant" thread where I merely transcribed what a producer said about the rumor on a radio show...but...it looks like Jaylen ain't being traded for Durant.

Unless the C's on some Clippers - Blake Griffin shyt. But Danny Ainge, the snake, is gone, and Bradley ain't about to stab Jaylen in the back. Is he?
