This fight is as good, if not better than the original Gus/Jones match-up. Cormier is a bigger challenge than Gustafsson.

It may well be but theyve already put a ton of promo into the jones/gustafsson fight. Its the most important rematch of all time
Injuries happen but it seems like injuries have hit them harder the last couple years. Over training might be hurting these guys a lot.

exactly, the only ppl that should be bummed about this are zuffa cuz that rematch was obviously going to fetch the company $$$. But from a sporting pov this is a better scenario.Whether ppl like it or not jones already beat gus why waste time on rematches when you got a mature number 1 contender who is on borrowed time?

Jones likes to prove that he can do anything friend, and this may take him into an arena where he learns he, Cant do everything because Cormier has the 2nd best wrestling credentials in the UFC next to Yoel Romero. Cormier has also fought alot of tall opponents. This will be an interesting fight, friend.

the tickets and gates they would have got at mgm with that rematch would've been more than anything in toronto
dont know all the financials, but whether its ACC or Rogers Center in Toronto, its always sold out....we've got a great following and fan support up here
