It was stupid to do the trade now, sort of like the Cavs just throwing Wiggins away rather than seeing what he looked like with them. At least see what Lonzo/Russell looks like together.
Mozgov deal is a hell of a lot easier to move than dengs
So what difference does it make to attach DLO now and at the trade deadline? Even if it was gonna work between him and ball, DLO was the only piece that could be traded. Randle doesn't have value like that and BI is off the table and so is Lonzo. At best, we could have gotten maybe a 10- 15 pick instead of the 27th?
Would Lonzo/Russell ever be a good defensive backcourt? Nah, they wouldn't.
Would Lakers have made the playoffs next year with their current roster? Nah, they wouldn't. Hard to attract free agents while being an utterly shyt team that looks like it has no real promise, which has been our problem for quite awhile now. We actually have a chance at the playoffs with Lopez if we can get George, but it would have been a long shot had we stuck with Lonzo/Russell.
I don't agree with trading him now, but there were reasons to trade him off now especially when it comes to attracting future free agents.
They'd need PG and SO much more talent just to make the playoffs in the WestBruh, they aren't making the playoffs next year without George being traded there regardless of who is in the backcourt.
How can you say that? He was only 20 years old? You don't really know who an NBA player is gonna be until they're 24 and fully developed. I don't think it's a bold statement to say he could have been an allstarI never understood some Laker fans love for Russell. His ceiling is 6th man/energy guy off da bench. Son wasn't gonna be a allstar leading da Lakers to multiple titles.
If I was Magic, I'd find sum GM dumb enuff to trade great assets for da "promise" of Ingram. Ingram lookin like a bust.
there's nothing that suggests ingram will be a 27 point scorer like KDRandle doesn't have the wingspan of Draymond...without their elite DEF, Warriors would be an updated version of mid-2000s Suns...and Draymond anchors that def, in which Randle does not have the ability to do bc of his t-rex arms
If all goes right, Ball could be a 12-8-5 player as a rookie. I see Jason Kidd in him. The Lakers will need him to be able to shoot at a 45% clip tho.
Ingram does possess Durant like traits, and he did improve as a rook. Durant said himself it's like looking in the mirror watching Ingram. Ingram's ceiling to me is 27-7-3 on decent %s (47-82-36).
U nikkas really think this shyt is 2k

KD is one of the best scorers in history, Ingram just has his frame
