Honestly, if I was Magic, da only ppl I'd keep is Randle, Nance, and Walton. I'd ship da rest of them nikkaz

Nance and Randle the only youngins on the roster who play hard and actually tryna get better instead of just living that LA lifestyle

Clarkson actually works hard and has been trying to improve defensively. The issue with him is that he just doesn't have a very high ceiling. Dude is basically gonna be a REALLY good sixth man. I think he's an underrated play maker, but he usually has a shoot first mentality. Defensively he can be a pest, I think Magic said he could be a lockdown defender, but he's got to focus on it. If the top teams weren't depleted of assets he'd be a much bigger trade target.

Ingram had a terrible rookie season, but you saw very brief flashes of potential. Everyone associated with the team is nothing but complimentary of him and they all understand that he's a project. He probably showed the most improvement throughout the season. The thing about Ingram is that at worst he looks to be an elite defensive player, he's got good instincts and freakish length. The KD talk has to die though, Ingram struggled to to score ALL season. His form was great but the shots would NOT go in, he started to adjust as the season went on. Ingram also somehow managed to be a worse FT shooter than Randle.

Nance is the most polished guy on the roster and if his health holds up he'll have a LONG NBA career as a role player. He's crazy athletic, does all the small things to help his team. mediocre rebounder, could potentially be an elite defender, biggest issue with him is his inability to create a shot for himself and he has a bad habit of passing up wide open shots and over passing.

Randle has physical gifts that aren't easy to replace, few players his size or as strong as him have his ball handling skills, speed, and quickness. He's shown the most improvement from season to season out of all the young guys. His biggest flaws are his off ball defense and shooting. The shooting improved a good bit from mid range, but the defense is still bad overall (despite some really good moments here and there). He has games where he looks like an all star, but he also has games where he looks like zombie and contributes nothing.

He broke Kidds NCAA assist record and has the record for most assists EVER in a season:gucci:

Kidd was always a good defensive player though. Lonzo will likely never come close to playing the defense that Kidd played in his prime.

With that said Kidd didn't have a jumper for most of his career and Lonzo does. People bytch about his form but Lonzo's shots go in.

His defense was FINE. It wasn't all world but dude is 6'6/6'7 with speed and one of the longest players at the position... He will be fine on defense once he gets stronger and focuses more on it.

Fultz was worse on defense yet going #1...

He's faster and more athletic than both Kidd and Russell. Defense can be fixed with effort and he has the tools

He still is not nicer than Kidd at cal tho.
Agsin, what part of Kidd was not getting bodied by his contemporaries in the fashion ball got sonned by fox and monk on multiple occasions.
Including the tournie during high stress execution with urgency based times of play as well.

I hate to give low sides on any potential draftee cause I hate to see anyone fail.
Yet the ball family could easily be the second coming of tobey bailey one two and three.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
@Malta dangelo trade value will be high as hell next summer when there's no point guards in the draft

Silly ass lakers

It was stupid to do the trade now, sort of like the Cavs just throwing Wiggins away rather than seeing what he looked like with them. At least see what Lonzo/Russell looks like together.

Because there will be a guaranteed market for Mozgov's contract down the line?

Especially considering the cap will be lower than expected next year. Teams weren't going to be anxious to help the Lakers dump a bad contract to help them sign Paul George.

Also the Lakers wanted another pick in this years draft, which they got by trading D'Lo and Moz.

There's always a market for bad contracts to get moved as long as something is attached.

Miles Plumlee has been traded twice already, and his contract is horrific as well.

Mozgov deal is a hell of a lot easier to move than dengs

So what difference does it make to attach DLO now and at the trade deadline? Even if it was gonna work between him and ball, DLO was the only piece that could be traded. Randle doesn't have value like that and BI is off the table and so is Lonzo. At best, we could have gotten maybe a 10- 15 pick instead of the 27th? :ld:
