I think it was a terrible move, you never use a talented young player in a salary dump. I could see if they already had word that LeBron/Boogie were going to join them this offseason and they needed the space right now, but we're a year away from that and they could have done any number of deals at the deadline or after to get the space. I don't see why it's so important to create the space now, at least see what Russell/Lonzo look like, there will always be a taker of bad contracts.

Bottom line is there was no reason to make this trade right now unless you have strong assurance from Cousins or Lebron that they're on the way. Anything short of PG + another Max player is a failure
