Finally brooklyn can be respectable again :wow:

:mjgrin:Russell a HOF Caliber player lakers fukked up when lonzo busts cause his dad hyped him
Lonzo will likely have a bigger impact right away than Russell ever did. All in all, big salary dump to make room for PG.

I actually like this move.

So what was your plan? Keep a bottom tier starting PG, Mozgov on a ridiculous contract and put Ball in that mix? Y'all not making sense
Breh he wasn't bottom tier. That's your misguided opinion off watching ESPN and heads like WAS. There's no metric that will tell you D'lo is a bottom tier of for his age. None. This is a fabrication based off your own bias.

and he's already TMZ famous. he could be the king of NYC and get a max contract w/o the Lakers bull shyt. Less competition in the East as well.

this could be a great move for him if he embraces it

He's not going to be the king of sh*t, Nets will always be the #2 team in the tri-state area, no matter how good they become.

I do believe he will ball out now, since he doesn't have the expectations of turning the Lakers around. Nobody has or will be expecting anything from the Nets (no shots Nets fans, :hubie:)

They're stuck with Mozgov for 4 more years if they don't move him. They likely offered Clarkson or some else and Nets said "No."
Nets don't care about FA signings like that, they're not looking to clear space for max contracts at all. To them and teams like them, their cap space is a trade asset

and with it they just acquired a guy who'd basically be a top 5 pick in this year's draft (top 10 easily if you're just the hating type).

There's times when you sell high on a rookie contract, but this definitely wasn't it... Half of Russell's on the court problems could've been solved if people just stopped with the "He can pass, so he's a PG!" bullshyt. Legit stunted his development with that nonsense.
