Man why the fukk are Rockstar still under Take Two's thumb anyway? They should be publishing their own shyt at this point.
Because Take 2 owns the GTA franchise as well as rockstar. The developers can leave and form their own studio but there’s no guarantee their new game will do as well as GTA

Indicative of the emphasis some want to put on multiplayer focused games and a reduction in narrative driven, single player experiences.
EA & others was screaming this shyt but had to fall back when their shyts flopped.
If this soulless vision comes to fruition, it will spell the death of creativity in the industry.
Sony the Gawd held us down for 7 summers, damn where's the love?
actually it isnt soulless. the microtransactions... yes, thats soulless. but the idea that they should focus way more on multi player online games vs single player is true. its 2020. stop asking for a bunch of old school single player games.

Nope. No sir. If the Uncharteds, Horizons, God of Wars, Spider-Mans, TLOU etc go the way of the dinosaur, count me out.
I'll find another hobby. :hubie:

what if the next guy who replaces him has a better vision? you never know until it happens. i think rockstar will do well. its a big company....

You're missing the point....the next guy could shift the vibe of GTA into something completely unfamiliar
The original creator knows what GTA should / can be.

Take Two has complete reign over everything now, Single Player games being neglected is s huge possibility. Not to mention GTA might release every 2 years now.

then it may be time to be out. but before you go just think about it like this. currently game dev teams produce things that make money and they copy each other and throw a little twist in it here and there. only a select few studios are willing to go out on limbs and attempt to create something new/different/very immersive.
Lets talk about the 2nd companies mentioned. Lets say if I told you they came up with a game with a very deep storyline that can't be fleshed out in a single player mode vs npcs. but it could be fleshed out vs other humans. I'm not talking capture the flag....blah blah blah generic bs. I'm not talking battle royale....

It is doable. the question is, are these devs willing to go there? because I'm kind of with all of you on this point. if they're going to keep making these stale online multiplayer experiences. yeah by all means give me a solid offline mode to play when i get bored quickly with the online version.

for example, lets talk GTA online. its decent but it could be WAYYYYYY better and much much much deeper than it is. someone decided to take a short cut on this one.

Why is the stock market still closed in the online version? I know why. because they dont want to deal with the online economy like that. including the shark card stuff. but there's a way around that too.

Why do they have generic Boss battles, where they just drop stuff for all to go get and fight over. we have our own businesses. we should be fighting over that stuff. not some generic drop.

Why is it when I'm doing a run moving these sports cars, the only thing another boss or player can do is blow the car up hurting me in the process, or stealing it and giving it to the cops more or less and getting a little Rep boosts. that aint realistic. If you jack me for one of those rides. its YOURS. thats how it should be. If you blow it up and the wrong people find out, you not only have a bounty on your head like john wick, but NPCs are constantly coming after you too in waves at different times in the game when you least expect it. you just stole some rich dudes 2 million dollar car you think he's going to let that slide? of course not. but if some boss steals it. he should be able to take it and add it to his collection. Same for anything being moved around. as of now GTA online is made for trolls. its setup that way. just troll people while they're doing jobs so you can get a little rep. Why do they pay your associates so little for non casino/non heist jobs? doesnt make sense. them boys should be getting a nice cut and it should be chosen by the boss. you want to low ball your wolves, thats on you. they'll leave you high and dry too and roll with another boss that pays them right.

If you can just steal other players vehicles and keep it a lot of people will complain...that's why it's not a possible.

the game is called GRAND THEFT AUTO. lol. did we forget? And i wasnt talking about people's own purchased vehicles. I'm talking about businesses you have where you import and export HOT cars. You have to go pick them up then bring them back to your warehouse to store to export/sell at a later date. in either situation going to get them or selling them off. you are vulnerable to people online that could attack you while making your delivery. the dumb part is this, there is no real win for the person attacking you. just a little bump in Rep if they steal the car or blow it up. Those cars should be open to be stolen, and kept by other bosses with similar business to sell at a later date. for people who dont have businesses. those cars should be able to be kept and sold back to you at a cost or sold to other bosses that need that car to make a collection or something. right now just giving someone rp for stealing it or blowing it up is dumb. thats like saying "Just go out and be a troll, there's nothing else in it for you."

The only fear i have with any of my businesses is if the Cops raid my spots, or if someone trolls me. there is no fear of being jacked by a legit other team of players/gang,crew,etc. But thats the way it SHOULD be. this is why online is cool but it gets boring really quick.

In addition, it should be more monopoly game based. I own properties that you need to get stuff from. therefore i get a cut of those profits. you want to own said business. Either by me out or its time for a hostile takeover.

You're one of these nikkas with zero sense when it comes to this. They want you to grind on missions and heists to buy items. Simply being a level 1 and carjacking a lvl 160s brand new 12 million dollar super car and being allowed to keep it is idiotic and Rockstar obviously knows this. All of this isn't possible because it's not an MMO.

Your soliloquy is null and void wishful thinking that won't come to fruition, not like it would make the game any different from what it is, but THIS is what you're complaining about lol

you're still slow i see.

why are they constantly giving away millions of dollars to just have you online? because people stop playing the game after they bring out a new heist. after that gets old. people leave again. why? because it gets boring real quick doing these Boss jobs. because there is no real interaction with the other people that are online other than them being able to troll you while you make a delivery. thats it. thats not what creating crews was supposed to be for when it first popped off. but its easy for the devs to just let the game sit as is.

again If we're both bosses, and I'm running a car mission to pick up a hot ride. If some other boss jacks me he keeps the car in his warehouse to sell in his collection. i can see you still dont know what i'm talking about. you think i'm talking about keeping cars individuals buy. NO, there's a Boss Business where you collect and sell cars. you cant drive them around at your leisure.

making it more realistic like i said would make the game funner to play online vs /with others.

The only slow person here is trying to have a discourse about how the game functions. It's already established but you're still talking about it :mjlol:

Who cares about making it more "realistic"? GTA V never had a realistic approach to begin with.

I can't imagine sitting here thinking of ways to make GTA V more "realistic" online after we have flying motorcycles, and no I didn't read your post because it's just a revamp of your last one.:mjlol:

"No real interaction" again, I said it's not an MMO.

Who is really the slow guy here?

if you go back and read what GTA ONLINE was supposed to be with the creation of crews was more realistic. not real world realistic but even a good movie realistic. and then they got lazy and said eff it, lets just pop in a few more jobs, few more heist and call it a day.

and i hate that flying motorcycle. aka the troll bike. they never should've added that bike into the game.
