There's so much cheerleading on the Coli for Dave that people rarely address this. This man's social circle went from being comedians we respect to a piece of shyt podcaster who has made multiple racist comments in the past (and entertained race IQ peddlers), and a South African billionaire whose family owned an emerald mine during the Apartheid era. What is going on. And while I liked some of the specials, most of it isn't funny. He's not even trying to tell jokes most of the time, it's just these weird rants about what he thinks he can and can't say. You'd think the allure of "cancel culture" would die when he realized he was 5 specials in, with no real pushback or threat to making money. Still getting specials, still getting booked at massive venues...I don't want to hear about cancel culture shyt man because your success proves it doesn't exist for most entertainers.

It's time we reckon with the fact that this faux free speech shyt is NOT good for black people. These people literally just want to say the n-word, denigrate Jews, gay people etc. That may be fine for Dave since he won't be impacted by the real world consequences but this shyt isn't wavy. I still "like" Dave overall, I just wish he'd get back to actual comedy.

Imagine if it was Kevin hart instead those posters would be calling him all types of C word.

Netflix is oversaturting the market right now to the point where they're putting out Dave doing a speech as new content. Busting out the cameras and recording a comedy routine used to be a big deal, that material had to be razor sharp. Now Netflix recording any damn thing. Can't even blame them because its cheap to set up a film crew and give the comedian a bag compared to make a whole movie. That's why they have so many documentaries these days too.

How anybody could EVER stan the fukk out of this current version of Dave, and even fix their jaw, or move their fingers to shyt on Damon Wayans is just riding the controversy, and is motivated by Dave's vitriol for the folks he is against, they could care less about the comedy, or eithers career arc. They are just useful idiots in this whole "go woke, go broke" fake cancel culture, culture war. Sadly, even if Eddie, Martin, Keenan, etc.. came out with some constructive criticism regarding Damon's valid observation, they would be dismissed, as well. These "fans" have no respect for comedy, or the legends, they are just fans of ignorance and exclusivity, which if they knew the history of black comics in this country, and the decades of struggle they have had to go through, and the fact that even in the internet age they still don't get even a 10th of the respect, money, and opportunities that white male comics get just for being white male "comics", they would realize that maybe it is kind of weird that Dave has this huge platform, and instead of doing comedy specials, he is doing a lot of explaining why he is "right", and adding in a couple of funny anecdotes, and complaining about the perceived wrongs done to him. You could be the funniest comic in the whole world, but when you start to cater to a group of people that are there just to hear you reinforce their hate against a group of people, and label it a comedy special, you are changing what your fans consider comedy. Take the majority of Dave's most fervent current fans, put on his last 3 specials, and also the special he did after George Floyd got murdered. What i'm saying is, and I'm not saying the posters on here that are still big fans, but the majority of his current stans that champion him right now, they skipping that George Floyd special, or are still fans in spite of that George Floyd special, and hoping because of the whole "cancel" bullshyt, that he has rethought, and changed his mind regarding how he felt at the time he made that George Floyd special.
