Finally hacked this and added NES, SNES, Genesis and some N64 games. I use it way more than my SNES mini
You could probably stream those to your tv from your phone if both of those are recent devices. Or play them perfectly on any laptop or pc fom the last decade. Saves you extra cables and an extra device in your house.

2 major problems. The emulation sucks and they really didn't try to optimize it for larger newer tvs. Not to mention the games list is lacking. Final Fantasy Tactics was kind of a must.

A lot of people, if you pick the right games. Look at the NES/SNES classic. Those things sold like gangbusters.

Those sold well because sprite-based graphics stopped getting better once 3d games became the norm (Sega Saturn / PS1). So from our perspective, those SNES games still look good because we don't have newer sprite-based graphics to compare them with.

PS1 was one of the pioneers of 3d gaming on a home console, and 3d graphics have gotten MUCH better since then, which is why PS1 games look comparatively awful when compared to SNES games.
