You’re the king of typing out these think pieces but are always wrong
You dudes kill me who act like you fully understand game development
Nobody says that we fully understand everything, I'd be lying if I said I did. However, everything that I say is plausible as I usually bring receipts or credible sources to my posts. Besides, most of us here don't just play cod and then go jack off to pornhub and call it a night breh. Some of us actually have a semi-decent grasp on this stuff because we've followed this stuff for years. However, what some of y'all be trying to do is try to convince us that what is basically a 10.2tf card in the ps5, is going to ultimately outdo what is a 12.15tf card in the XSX, among other things. I just got a pc with a 3060 Ti in it. At no point in time will you ever hear me say that it can keep up with a 3080 or even a 3070. It can't, it simply can't. Computing, at the end of the day, is just specs. That's what it boils down to. You can't wish for something to be more than what it is.
The three most important aspects of a computer will always be gpu, cpu and ram. The XSX has the advantage overall in all three. There isn't anything to argue or dispute there. I'm not even saying the ps5 will be bad but that the XSX will simply be better. The specs dictate that they ultimately will be.
The only thing that I've speculated on, based on just casual observations is that over time, the Series consoles will load games quicker than the competition as companies adapt to the sampler feedback streamer built on top of the velocity architecture. Why? It is a nuanced way of loading data rather than just throwing a bunch of data out of the ssd. Remember that the Unreal Engine 5 demo only needed 768MB or so in speed per second from the ssd. All new consoles far exceed that. Sony has it set up for decompression to happen on the fly in hardware while Microsoft's solution requires you to essentially continue to find the needle in the haystack but the haystacks are not that big.
