Allison - who celebrated her nine-year wedding anniversary with Stephen on Saturday - was apparently frantic because he had left home without his car, which she said was unlike him.
Police reportedly got a call a short time later for a shooting at an LA hotel.
Officers allegedly found father-of-three Stephen dead there from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Born on September 29, 1982, Stephen was a freestyle hip-hop dancer, choreographer, and television personality.
He placed as the runner-up during So You Think You Can Dance in 2008, and has since worked with Ellen DeGeneres on her shows.
Stephen married Allison in 2013 and they have three children together - Weslie, 14, Maddox, six, and Zaia, three.
They had hosted Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings together on Disney+ since 2018.
Damn RIP I know he had a pretty big social media following too and he was always happy go lucky

Didn't know he was on Ellen, only knew him from SYTYCD. Crazy that I haven't saw him or heard his name in over 10+ years but knew exactly who he was. RIP to this brother.
