I know what you're getting at but bad comparison, you're basically saying he's more technical. Jay and Nas are both masterful for different reasons with Jay being a bit more flashy, but they are still in the same weight class. He's not sitting next to names like Eminem, Crooked, Lupe, Elzhi ect. without looking out of place. And it ain't about the content necessarily because he and Pusha T have similar subject matter.
Exchange him for Royce in your "Jay/Nas" scenario and tell me if you don't see the separation as far as bars/technique go.
Ross is COMPETENT, he's not in this conversation though.
