Genesis 6 tells you the difference between race. Angels and Humans are different races. They are from separate realms.

Wanting to marry within the culture is one thing, and at least that's logical for some people.

But "racial purity" has never existed in real life. Race as we know it is a made-up 16th-century European invention that grouped together completely unrelated peoples by superficial characteristics that had no scientific or cultural backing.

Less that 1% of the global population has a "pure" lineage, and those are mostly people belonging to isolated tribes that barely interact with outsiders.
