Dame needs to stop tho, he's a hustler and now he crying like a bich because he got out hustled by a jew. I see his point in how the game is rigged against nigggas, but in that case u should be mad at jay being a snake and selling out to the machine. He would more than likely do the same shyt Lyor did to him if he was in his shoes and his track record with artists in the past proves that.

But like really mane...

WHAT DOES A STATEMENT FROM LYOR COHEN ACCOMPLISH??? :mindblown:

I WANT RESULTS!!!

and YOU AIN'T GONNA GET THAT FROM LYOR...shyt has not only stayed the same IT'S GOTTEN WORST

do you fuking realize as Dame says HE IS THE ARCHITECT OF WHAT COULD BE CONSIDERED THE "MAGNA CARTA" of bad record deals

THE 360!!!

HE DON'T GIVE A RAT'S A$$ ABOUT EXPLAINING A GOTTDAMN THING TO ANY OF US NEGROES.....

AND IF HE DID EXPLAIN SHYT..IT'S GONNA BE THE SAME RHETORIC HE FED TO DAME, IRV, JMJ, LUPE and countless other ARTISTS AND MOGULS he fukked over!!

waiting for LYOR to explain his crimes is like waiting to ask some racist cop why he fukked u over..or the slave asking the slave master why he OPPRESSED HIM

:camby:

MANE IF YOU WANT RESULTS ..YOU NEED TO CREATE RESULTS

we gotta stop having rallies and townhall meetings and dialogue with WHITE PEOPLE WHO CLEARLY ARE CONSCIOUS OF THE FUKKERY THEY DO TO YOU

fukk talking ..MAKE SOME ACTION!!!

in the form of being YOUR OWN MAN..BUSINESS MAN......

I did my part by forming an indy station two years ago on the internet giving airplay to unsigned artists and having dialogue about shyt that ain't discussed in the mainstream media with NO FILTER (uncensored)

so FUKK WAITING ON A EXPLANATION from "MR CHARLIE " aka the GLORIOUS WHITE MAN

WHY DON'T YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...TO COUNTERACT THESE "CULTURE VULTURES" and EXPLOITATION....

till u doing something I DON'T WANNA HEAR SHYT YOU GOT TO SAY.....bruh
360 deals was a way for labels to stay in existence :what:

Technology = internet & cheaper to record lead to more artists, less media control, less CD sales, more risk, less money being made. They would probably do it earlier, but they couldn't cause someone would've offered the artist a better deal. You want a better deal, you need some leverage to offset the risk of you flopping. It's extremely simple.

Artists were living too good, in a competitive market these artists will get what they are worth.
Here is the thing though, artists are using labels to gain momentum, guidance, fame, budgets and their cd's are flopping but they are making money through tours and other venues due to the investments made by the label.

360 is not bad, it's bad compared to what people were getting in the 90s but the 90s had a completely different market structure.

And why are you making this about race and shyt? Everyone is getting treated the same, everyone is getting 360, execs maximize profit since they work for publicly owned companies.
They don't have any other responsibility than to maximize profit, legally.

Dame is doing this for strictly egotistical purposes 200%. People don't change over night and the older they are the less likely they are to change period. Dude has not changed one bit. He's still the number 1 person everyone needs to listen to. He never made any mistakes. He's not at fault. Everyone is wrong and he's right.

I have to apologize to Funk Flex's corny ass. He was more on point than not with his tirade. I was taking Dame's side. Feeling what he was saying but the more he talks, the more he shows he is the same Dame who was calling dudes broke if they weren't changing their socks and t-shirts everyday and throwing out the old ones. Same Dame who was doing business with culture vultures claiming he was independent. All of his ventures probably have investors and middle men, meaning he real isn't indie at all.

He's a good talker but he's also a bad talker. Talking too much can do you in. And I feel like he's toxic. That's why noone wants to do business with him and he has to go back to his old neighborhood and get on some "Harlem Stick Together" shyt.....Meaning "Please y'all don't leave me too"

Notice how he says Jay was never supposed to have options. :sas1:

Sounds like a slave master to me:sas2:

He doesn't blame Jay, because he knows what would happen if he did:huhldup:

"If it was legal to have a company full of lawyers, I would have it" - a law firm Dame :comeon:

He only has 8k followers on twitter. No one is buying this fake militancy to promote CEO and Poppington. The fukk does Lyor have to explain to him? Lyor is never in the media

And btw, what kind of culture preserver sells jackets for 2k and boxers for 100?

Mostly white models on there too, and you can pick up some motor oil on there while you're at it.

That photo is all you need to know about Dame in a nutshell. That's the fashion equivalent of Diddy dancing in front of Loon rapping :russ: Ol girl so disgusted can't even look at him :dead:His ego what does him in. You have to be humble until you blow, but Dame can't wait, so he keeps falling back down. I know how it feels as an entrepreneur to build yourself back up from the bottom after your market crashes, but during your rebuilding phase you have to accept that things changed, you can't be posing in modeling photos and frontin' in oceanfront condos you don't own when you're broke. That aside, I back him 100%, but I think he needs to look inwards a bit as well.

True.. But like with Benzino its a kind of shoot the messenger type thing with Dame...Great message, horrible spokes person...

The problem with issues like this, is nobody that has something to lose will ever speak truth to power..

So we get stuck with the Dame's and Lord Jamar's who can be dismissed as flawd, washed up or bitter..

Malcolm X
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
2Pac

^^^3 clear examples of people who had plenty to lose (2 lost their lives) and spoke truth to power. Dame is Dame, that's it. His problem is not his message, it's he looks all kind of wrong coming out with this message in his current situation, he sandbagged Jay Z with Cam, got broke off with the Rocawear sale and still went broke, and proceeded to get left by Kanye, then Currensy, and probably a few other artists I don't know about. He needs to focus on getting himself right, I don't understand the focus on Lyor when you can't pay your bills. Make your money, then be a revolutionary if you want :obama:

Fixed :obama: Back in the Rocawear days you just slapped "Rocawear" on it and sh*t was hot. There's nothing innovative about Poppington. If I were Dame I would fall back into marketing/promoting, he's excellent at that :manny: When you gotta double down you do it on your basic skills, not some dog fashion sh*t :mjlol: I mean, for real Dame?:

I have no words, even the dog has the FML look on his face :dead: If Lyor is a hiphop culture vulture, Dame is a fashion culture vulture, real talk.

Kanye could get away with selling stuff at the prices Dame wants. He has, cause he's a fashion icon and he partners with credible people.
Dame prolly has his unpaid interns sew them shyts themselves.

There's no kind of standout details or craftsmanship or whatever, no sources on the fabrics used(i.e goatskin leather, Kaihara(sp?) denim, Loro Piana wool like I mentioned before), no story(when the Harrell brothers threw Akademiks in the bushes and started PRPS they had some shyt about Zimbabwean cotton on their site that sounded good), no sort of aesthetic or direction(is it workwear inspired? neo-preppy? British countryside? old school backpacker?), no lookbook, no fit guide, nothing. What is this supposed to be?

Exactly, he wants to diss Lyor but has no respect for the fashion industry, he's the fashion equivalent of the ringtone rapper sub-labels that push wack sh*t for a quick buck. These are walmart clothes with Dame's name on them basically. Dame is not about his fashion line, his fashion line is about him, and to be frank, it shows with the lack of substance :wow: It's time he goes back to his roots and sees what kids are rocking and fashion his sh*t accordingly. :obama:

From 2010:
I’m a pretentious hippie,” he told me on more than one occasion. “This is what I should be doing. … Regardless of how I got here, I’m exactly where I want to be.” Mr. Dash said that in his days of Rocawear, Cristal and yachts, he was “compromising my brand—Ralph Lauren, that’s what I wanted to be.”

The way Dame wasn't accepted into the movie business, art, or fashion, has him acting this way. He's mad whites don't love him, and he doesn't get why.
