"pedestal " :what:

Plenty of people have complained about the Weinsteins before, and still do. They're notorious for shady shyt.

Dame ran up on him on some hood snatch your girl shyt. And Cube didn't do shyt to them, and he was already a big deal in movies by '09. So he just kept to his work and his production company. Dame was a nobody. I never even mentioned the fact that they're Jews either :sas1:

Who really cares about Lil E not being in the movie. I certainly don't. :mjlol:

People mix up classism with racism. The rich will always exploit the poor the smart the stupid. This is the way of the world.

I am the lawyer on deck in the video. It became necessary for me to reply to this thread because of serious factual inaccuracies and misrepresentations made by Combat Jack with respect to statements I allegedly made to him.

Here is the quote by Combat Jack that I am addressing today:

DF5mcXK.png

Lets be clear on a few facts.

I was Damon Dash's general counsel for 3 years and I moved on in May 2013. Since that time I have referred him several other attorneys whom I have supervised in their representation of Dame. So that there's no confusion, Dame paid me for my services while I was in his employ. When I left in May 2013, Dame did not owe me a dime of salary.

Referred by Marvin Barksdale, I met Combat Jack for the first time for a 5 minute meeting over coffee 5 years ago. At that meeting he offered me an opportunity to succeed him as Dame's attorney. At the time I was inspired by the opportunity to be exposed to new challenges in the music, art, fashion, and entertainment industries and more importantly learn from a mentor of legendary status whom I believed in and respected. I want it to be clear that I appreciate the opportunity from Combat Jack. It changed my life and I am grateful. However, Combat Jack and I have had virtually no contact or discussion since that day we met and had coffee.

Combat Jack did not reach out to me once in the past five years from the time I took the position until this last Tuesday when he sent me a text informing me about the clip at http://ow.ly/zsMHU. The entire “text discussion” between Combat Jack and I came on the heels of a major disagreement Dame and I had a few days earlier and I admittedly vented some of my frustrations to Combat Jack. I realize now that was a mistake. I was shocked to learn that Combat Jack had distorted my comments and misquoted me in a blatant attempt to further his own agenda. I did not expect him to use me.

Combat Jack is a trained attorney and a journalist. For him to incorrectly and materially misstate my texts to him in the posting I quoted above is extremely troublesome, irresponsible and disrespectful to me professionally and personally.

More specifically, I never said I was "about to sue Dame for all types of unpaid salary and physical threats to [my] person." The conversation is on record through text messages and this comment does not exist nor does any reference to me potentially suing Dame exist. Furthermore, as previously stated, Damon does not owe me any unpaid salary. The conversation is on record through text messages and this comment does not exist. I am troubled by the lack of accuracy and the statements that are not merely taken out of context but that are actually patently false.

One final quote I found troubling--"I detest going at my own people but Dame is sheisty. Ask his unpaid employees who work on some Chinese sweat shop status with no salary benefit and free meals."

This language is not only inaccurate it's quite a bit incendiary. I know hyperbole is an accepted thing in the world of media and journalism but in my world of law and business a lack of clarity can be fatal. The Poppington gallery is hardly a sweatshop, and the truth is I have had some awful bosses and Dame was not one of them. Dame has created as many opportunities for others as anyone I have ever been around. Combat Jack and I are certainly on that list of people who should be grateful for those opportunities Dame has provided.

In my view Combat Jack has a responsibility as a role model and a journalist to be more careful with his words. As in all high power business relationships Dame and I have bumped heads many times before as he himself attests to in the video at . While it is true that I made some emotionally charged comments to Combat Jack in the moment, I never threatened to sue Dame and I never even insinuated that there was any unpaid salary. I'm still very confused as to where these patently untrue statements came from.

I cannot speak for Combat Jack as to what his motivations are for these recent comments. Nor will I allow another man to speak for me on my behalf. This principal has been a catalyst for me to lend some clarity to the situation.

Bottom line is that we are all grown men here. In the future, it is my expectation that Combat Jack will let me speak for myself and not twist my words against me for his benefit.

:ohhh:

You stupid breh :dahell:

BP3 - I'm rich
WTT - I'm even more rich
MCHG - I'm so rich I'm too rich
He talks about riches on every album you imbecile, he tackles different aspects of success, different concepts,
BP3 he had songs like Young Forever, So Ambitious, Already Home, A star is born, DOA, ESOM, What we talkin about which is half the album.
WTT had songs like No Church in the wild, The Joy, That's my bytch, Murder to excellence, Welcome to the jungle, Lift off, New Day, Made in America..
Just on those 2 albums he had like 10-15 songs with completely different topics.

RD is probably Jays only album where just about every song is about "riches".

Jay is too advanced for you dudes, he spits real shyt about his real life unlike your favorite rappers. Unfortunately for your communist ass, it involves a lot of business, finer things and money. But there's most often a different undertone to it, a different setting to how, where and when the event takes place, different aspects of the consequences of success and on. Then he has songs like Who gon stop me where he just shows off straight spitting styles where the metaphors, punches, flows, delivery, multis and on.. On those type of joints the subject of matter is quite irrelevant, it's the straight spitting skills that impress cats on those type of joints.
