This trade is a business move. This family wants Casino's and a sports franchise to help them be tax exempt.
Trade also involved Adam Silva being used a Texas gambling lobbying pawn.

It’s just the term for the person who is officially in charge of the team. So the Adelson family owns the team and Dumont is the son in law and is the one officially in charge in the leagues eyes

Let’s say for argument’s sake, what Nico and the Mavs organization are saying about Luka is true, in its entirety, and he was on the trajectory of falling off in the not too distant future because of said reasons, what the fukk do they think publicly dragging him like this is going to evoke in him?
He’s going to make it his life’s mission to do everything in his power to prove that theory wrong.
You know Luka isn’t a p*ssy and you know he has a killer mentality. You’ve seen it the last half a decade. Why stoke the fires of that and create a villain arc where this antagonist will stop at nothing to kill you?

Luka played more minutes than every single player last season, and he didn’t have a drop off in effectiveness/impact, at all, and after the season was finished, you know what he did? He went and played Olympic qualifying games for his country, now how could you possibly believe he was “out of shape” given all that?
