The 215
Romo called his own plays and/or switched out of what Linehan called most of the time. That’s why once Dak proved he was good enough, Linehan was probably happy Romo got demoted.
Have y'all nikkas never played football at all or some shyt? You talking like Romo made up random plays and shyt. The plays was still in the playbook my dude he just audibles to a different play.

Romo creates his own game plan during the week. He practically ran shyt. Dez Bryant for example freestyle most of his routes.

the playbook was generic with no creativity which is why a lot of times Romo would wait until the last second when the defense was was set to change the play.

Exactly what we all think

Jerry and Co handed him the keys after he filled in admirably for Romo in 2016. He even played well in that GB playoff game after falling behind.

And then Zeke got suspended... lack of growth and production from Dak. Dez, TWill, and Beasley went from a legit WR corps to being washed overnight.

Desperation trade for Cooper amounted to 1 whole playoff win. This past season Dak had casuals fooled with the 3-0 start vs Giants, Skins, and Dolphins.

Then he went 5-8 rest of the year and looked like dogshyt vs Saints, Patriots, and Eagles.

Front office sees it. It would be one thing if he wanted Wentz or Goff money. But he’s asking for Mahomes money...

Recent flameouts like Jameis and Cam don’t help Dak’s case, either. Not saying he’s going to follow in their footsteps or anything, but there’s also no real reason to think he’s going to turn into McNabb overnight either.

Front Office probably feels like they did Dak multiple solids by making sure he had ridiculous talent around him at all times. And he gets lots of perks and financial incentives to be QB of America’s Team. Jerry probably feels like he himself got Dak the national Campbells, Dannon, and Pepsi commercials.

I think the Romo era also does Dak no favors.

Jerry stood by and threw money and gave Romo a stacked roster (on offense, at least) and it amounted to fukk all. And Romo, although divisive, was a fan favorite. Ultimately, we stagnated for a decade.

I think there’s trepidation to go down the same road. We’re not coming from Browns revolving door of QBs ready to throw the bag at anyone who keeps us relevant. I think Front Office is wanting more than just a playoff appearance or an occasional playoff W here and there. Dak hasn’t shown to be above that, yet.

And Dak has nowhere near the fanbase support Romo had.

From everything I've heard it isnt neccesarily the amount of money but the length of contract. Apparently the front office wants a 5 year deal, dak's team looking near 3.

This is exactly what im thinking as well. Add in the fact that Jerry had to ask the staff mutliple times if he was “the guy”...

With that said, I just cant see them moving on and trying to find another QB.

I’ve also heard this. But there’s been so much misinformation for the past year, I don’t know what to believe.

I take every “report” with a grain of salt. Both sides are posturing through leaks to reporters.
