If I was Jerry, I'd let this thing play out. I wouldn't budge off 33-34M. I think Dalton is going to push Dak.

The Browns are an easy 2 wins, but those AFCN games are TOUGH
Best thing in Dak’s favor these past two seasons is the putridness of the Giants and Redskins.

in spite of Garrett and Linehan's offense and won the division twice in three years and a year removed from getting Linehan out of there, he threw for over 4,000 yards. I believe that if you put Dak on those Bengals teams with a competent head coach, he would win just as many games or more. Remember this is the same Dalton who went winless and was benched for Ryan Finley last year
Do I think Dak deserves $40M or even $35M a year? Hell no, but I think he is a franchise qb and we'd be foolish to not keep him long term.

Romo called his own plays and/or switched out of what Linehan called most of the time. That’s why once Dak proved he was good enough, Linehan was probably happy Romo got demoted.
