Bring me Hooker
Are we moving to a three linebacker based defense ?The good thing is it looks like they moving Jaylon to Sam
But will you actually spend premium draft capital on a safety?
This is exactly why Dak was smart for not taking less. What FAs are they signing? You have to be handicapped or coming off of a drug habit or be elderly for you to get signed on here because we need more 'bargains'.
This post make zero sense.
What's hard to understand about it? Why take a discount to 'free up cap space' if they aren't ever signing anybody of significance with that free space. There's no way I would take 'less money' if they're going to waste it on the kind of free agents they've been signing.
So, you're saying Dak rather make maximum money. Instead of going to another team to compete for a championship.
That's stupid on Dak part if that's the case. Because another team would've offered him more money.
What team would have offered him significantly more than 40 million a year? Especially compared to a state with no state income tax. If Dak was going to stay here, he wasn't going to go for less than 'the market rate' and I don't blame him. He ended up getting 5 mill more a year than Wentz and Goff and he doesn't have to move to another city. He gets to be QC for his childhood dream team, make an obscene amount of money and only have moderate pressure to perform. The only real reason to stay with Dallas was essentially for the money and familiarity and he got that.
Let's just be real about the Cowboys. Without a GM the likelihood of them winning anything is extremely low and anybody with a pair of eyes can see that. The formula is obvious and simple. Stephen Jones took control and he tries to play financial hardball with this players and gets negotiated into a corner and ends up having to pay out obscenely high contracts. Happened when Zeke held out, same with Demarcus Lawrence and now with Dak. Then he fills the team in free agency with washed out players, problem players and a host of other 'bargains'. Out of the 11 or so guys we signed last year in FA, what was it, 2 or 3 that actually stuck with us throughout the season? If not for McClay hitting on draft picks, this would be a complete dumpster fire.
