I like the idea of trading up for Fields, we just need so much help on defense im torn.We have the 10th pick. We could probably trade our next years first to get to #3 and draft Fields and save $40m a year
But No, we have the WOAT GM thats in win-now mode, when this core we have now hasnt won a cotdamn thing
I just can't make sense of radio guys/Cowboys podcast people wanting an OL with the 10th overall pick, especially considering all of the concerns on defense that we have.
I might be in the minority, but if the pick isn't a defensive starter (CB, LB, DE) or at very least a starting QB, I don't want it. I'm not opposed to Trey Lance, but 10 might be too high of a pick. On the other hand, I would love for Fields to fall to us, but I just can't imagine that happening with so many QB needy teams from picks 1-9.
But then again, I never imagined CeeDee falling to us last year either. Never crossed my mind.

Cowboys need to take it back to the Johnson era and start building from the inside out. Start with the trenches on both sides of the ball and work your way out. On defense we need to rebuild that Dline. They looked pathetic this past year.
