Still getting no respect from the media

Breh the Hawks could literally win out for the regular season and we'd have analysts say we'd lose in the first round. We not gettin love from the media b/c we don't have superstars or make splashy quotes. #Set brehs just gotta embrace it. How's ya Lakers doin? I haven't seen y'all play yet

I have a feeling tonight is going to be a very tough game for us. You know the Wizards have had this game circled ever since we made Beal cry like a bytch last year.

Beal's played well...he still a bytch, but we handled them pretty good in the regular season last yr, I hope were not too tired to handle them again tonight
Elite level playmaking from JR?:dwillhuh: all he does is shoot 3s. Kyrie was hurt and all he did was play decoy to spread the floor, even tho he never missed:mjcry:

U gassing them up breh. All we need is someone who can keep up with bron. Thabo will be a thorn in his side all series. I hope love plays so millsap and horf can abuse him on offense. New teague> kyrie too

Cleveland is not that scary bro. Sooo many things went wrong for us last time. Lost korver, lost demarres production, and lost horf for a game. It was too much to overcome

Breh as streaky as JR is he has unlimited range & can create. He's a head case, but when he's on he's dangerous. But I can't confidently say this team is straight up better than CLE. There are matchups we could exploit that would allow us to get some games off them but being better than them 4 times in a 7 game series, I don't see that.

Have u even watched this team play this year? :what:
:yeshrug:On and off...I coach High School basketball...so the most I can do most nights (except for tonight) is watch the highlights and check stats.

I do know that we haven't really played anybody either...we'll see tonight.

But think of how this team is built...when Thabo comes in to guard the elite guards, it's gonna hurt us offensively...so Teague and Shroeder better be firing on all cylinders while in together.

Teague needs to go to that next level (elite PG) and Shroeder needs to channel Manu...then we're on to something. Otherwise, I think we're kidding ourselves with those two choices on the poll.:francis:

I agree. To go to a Finals or win one you need elite players. Teague maxes out at very good, but he's not consistent with that effort. Al maxes out at very good too. So we really don't have an elite player to take us there, we've got to win with exceptional execution out of our very good players and being fundamentally sound. I think we can execute at an elite level and be fundamentally sound, but the biggest thing I took out of the CLE series was just how much bigger & physical they were than us. The injuries were obviously a factor, but they had injuries too. If CLE is who we've got to see in the playoffs again I don't know if we can beat them without elite players and a more physical style

We aren't as good as the Cavs, we have yet to put up a great 4th QT yet. We still are learning. But this is the most talented Hawks team since the Jamal-Bibby-Horf-Smoove-ISO Joe squad.

We got the talent now. We just need to play more consistent. I think us and GS could have the best record in the NBA for the 2nd straight year.

Agreed. I got us somewhere between 55-60 this yr. if Bud hasn't started resting players in March (which backfired like a bytch) last year's team could've won 65. My hope is we go hard the whole year and max out in the playoffs. Stop resting players unless they legitimately need rest

That was literally cause and effect.

Cause: 2 finesse players in Kyrie and Love got hurt

Effect: 2 physical players in Dellevedova and Thompson replaced them

You simply cannot logically argue both points man. Their physicality is what beat us. If they weren't injured, they wouldn't have played such physical ball, and we would've won at least two games. "They were injured too" is simply a bad argument.

Thabo is not a liability offensively. Hell, we probably cause more turnovers with him on the court leading to easier buckets. He is a better passer than demarre and his shot isnt broke.

You also probably haven't seen holiday play or bazemore's improvement. How about the fact we have a legit center with post moves in splitter as opposed to pero who cant grab rebounds and hangs out at the perimeter. Watch them tonight breh, this team is better than last

I think the point is, last year, we didn't have the talent to beat them for 4 games in the playoffs. That was true. This year, we are closer but we need to see more before we can say otherwise.

A healthy hawks team is all we need. Full roster like gs last year

Honestly, while Tiago is decent, he hasn't played that well for us. He's still getting used of the system. Our is a lot of player and ball movement, even more than SA. Once he gets it, I expect impact and that should change our fortune.

Do you need to see more before you say we CAN beat them or we WILL beat them? What is the "more" you need to see exactly?
