I may have underrated Kobe's value if the average PF is better than the average SG, but as a straight up comparison Gasol is more valuable than him. Howard is more valuable no matter how you want to slice it and there is a good case to be made that Nash has been just as if not more valuable than Kobe over the last two years, and his aging curve doesn't seem to be as severe. :yeshrug: Feel free to base your opinions on nothing though

11/12 WS WS/48 PER RAPM A4PM

Gasol 8.3 / .165 / 20.5 / 3.0 / 1.54
Nash 5.9 / .144 / 20.3 / 5.8 / 2.54
Bryant 6.2 / .132 / 21.9 / 2.7 / 2.12
Howard 7.7 / .179 / 24.2 / 5.5 / 3.49
Sabremetrics to argue basketball?

no faith in the lakers coach. he might ruin everything for ya'll. Bet money he'll be fired after starting off the season weak and end up being replaced by phil fresh outta retirement.

Even Bosh knows the ineviatable too:
Chris Bosh said the Lakers have the best team "on paper" in the NBA heading into the 12-13 season.

Bosh and the Heat won the 2012 NBA Finals.

"We have to start over," said Bosh as they look to repeat.
