Kasey Hill graduated a year before him. What was he doing his senior year? He's a guard that can play either position. He's simply not playing well.

Truth right here. Ive been trying to catch up on Russell to see what the hype is all about. He's better than what you see in the clip, but hes also not a PG. Hes an off guard with great anticipation with his passes. He doesnt really do a lot of creating off the dribble....Throwing passes isnt the same thing as running an offense. I felt like the Lakers got too cute on that pick (thinking they were going load up the front court in free agency :russ:) but I hope he gets better and prove all the haters wrong.

There are notable basketball analysts and statisticians criticizing him....

I think people recognize it's just summer league but don't think people don't see his short comings and if those short comings continue to give him problems, it's gonna be hard to start him & get him the necessary development on a team with Kobe/Lou/Clarkson/Nick. I really hate this situation for him with all these guards who may pass it to and never see it again.
