I wonder when this trend became a thing. Just for historical reasons/curiosity. Maybe the Biggie/Jay mid 90's era? It got really bad in the 2000's, and then in the 2010's it seemed to start to not be so over the top...and now days it seems the producer/rapper collab model is back in full effect.

I always thought it was Fabolous debut album that started the trend of advertising multiple producers. Remember the stickers that use to be on the cover of cd that promoted the producers on the album instead of the guest appearances?
