His last album (fever) was
My bad I meant dive. Dive is dope. I’ve heard both I like fever too and probably give it the edgehe dropped another album after that "DiVe" but i actually thought fever was better
Some of these dudes albums have 30 producers and the album is still mid lmao. And I’m not exaggerating with that number eitherI’m loving this trend being common again. Too many cooks in the kitchen ruins too many albums. Get one or two producers and lock in on one sound. It’s tried and true.
I wonder when this trend became a thing. Just for historical reasons/curiosity. Maybe the Biggie/Jay mid 90's era? It got really bad in the 2000's, and then in the 2010's it seemed to start to not be so over the top...and now days it seems the producer/rapper collab model is back in full effect. Some of these dudes albums have 30 producers and the album is still mid lmao. Have no idea but that Quavo album had 24 producers for 17 tracks and Young Thug’s last album has THIRTY EIGHT producers for 20 tracks and I think that’s a disgusting amount, especially when you realize how many people need to get paid for something not even selling all that much. I’m very glad the minimal producer thing is starting to takeover again.I wonder when this trend became a thing. Just for historical reasons/curiosity. Maybe the Biggie/Jay mid 90's era? I know the TDE albums have a lot of producers, but a lot of times with those it'll be like Sounwave or THC or someone with most of the beat, and then I think they credit the various co-producers and people that play keys or other instruments over the skeleton of the beat. So I've never thought of those in the same way.
That's absurd about the Quavo album too. Are there beat switches on that and the Young Thug album?
