KRIT produces, sings, flips samples… completely different.

But I told myself about 7-8 years ago KRIT gotta pass away for people to appreciate his greatness. The fact that I’ve never heard a Big Krit song on the radio is a music tragedy

even then they really won't

Sorry it's true :manny:

While yall was worshipping DAMN in 2017

Krit and CyHi put out their magnum opus which destroys that forgettable album

More Life also came out that year but we won't get into that argument :sas2:

One of Krits most mediocre projects...doesn't touch Returnof4ever or 4evaNaday or It's better this way.... For DAMN sure doesn't touch any Kendrick projects... But Burry me in gold is a great single moment on that otherwise inconsistent album tho.... That other nikka with 1 decent project in his whole career ain't even worth talking about tbh :ehh: interesting thread attempt

This doesn’t make any sense.

Krit wuz here
Live from the underground
See me on top 4
Cadillactica
4eva is a mighty long time
4eva in a day
King remembered in time
Return of 4eva
It’s better this way

All of these albums have a different sound and what “story” are you talking about :mjlol:

How many albums have Kendrick or Cole put out in the same time frame?

I liked KRIT but at some point it gets tiring hearing the same weak hooks (repeating 2 words over and over), the same album narratives (wake up in the morning, go for a ride, oh shyt your lady stressing you, now you depressed, time to ride again, candy paint rims, my subs/wheels/etc). He was also unable to evolve his sound or figure out how to get his shyt bumping in the club until it was too late. Especially at a time when guys like Black Milk figured out how to make their shyt knock without heavy samples, I just felt his career got mad disappointing when he signed to Def Jam and couldn't get shyt to work.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Come on why we doing this. I used to like KRIT but he basically made the same mixtape/album over and over until the story (and sound) was driven into the ground. Not to mention at one point being the only southern producer whose shyt didn't really knock in the whip or club.

To me KRIT is more comparable to Cole thank Kendrick. Cole had a similarly repetitive narrative at one point before he evolved. I feel like Oddisee and a lot of other guys from that era got stuck similarly to KRIT.
U saying Krit shyt ain't knock? That's wild. Lol.

Cyhi definitely has bars. Kenny prolly has better artistic vision tho.

Granted, I haven’t listened to a full cyhi project in years so I’m not the best judge of him, currently
Pretty much came in to post what you said. 3 separate artists from different places, different styles, not a good argument

His major label albums consistently being so vastly inferior to his mixtapes really killed all mainstream appeal unfortunately.... He should have been able to carve out a bigger lane
