i agreed with you initially, but a white Titus would be cesaro.This. If Titus was white, he would have already been a three time WWE champion. He encompasses everything Vince wants in top guy except the "right" complexion.

Nah I feel you and was agreeing with you by expounding on that point. Everything is dictated and ran by white people. There still isn't any people of color in this high up positions that really control the image and portrayals that are shown in tv and entertainmentI know. That's why I wrote (pretty clearly) "Wrestling is not meant to be a black form of entertainment...it's racist at worst and dismissive of black people at best"
I also wrote "As a black wrestling fan I have to acknowledge it (the racism) when I watch"
What is the difference between Samuel L Jackson playing a house slave in Django Unchained and New Day dancing around? Is it because they are in these gimmicks for a longer amount of time than one movie? Is it because Samuel L gets to take other roles and they don't?
In either situation, it's a black man portraying a character. Big E is a dancing goofy but tough wrestling character...he's an athletic actor. It's a character.
Like I mentioned...the genre is NOT particularly favorable toward black people. If they choose to get into the genre, that's their choice. If we continue to support the genre (by watching, commenting, etc.) that's our choice. Is there something inherently "c00nish" about it... maybe...I don't know. But it's no MORE or LESS c00nish than any other actor portraying a c00n.
All actors have the choice to say no to a role. If an actor chooses to play a role that's a "c00n" is that "c00ning"? Personally, I can't call it.
I wouldn't have as much of a problem overall if they created well rounded characters for their Black wrestlers. Even Sasha's a stereotype...I do dig the look and a few of the mannerisms, but her throwing out the word "ratchet" and acting hood rat lite doesn't help WWE's cause. Can't have a Black wrestler that's an apex predator or a blue collar everyman?
Nah I'm not gonna subscribe to calling these guys c00ns. I save it for people that actually demonstrate that behavior. I think most black people in the WWE understand and know they'll probably fall into certain (agreeably WACK) gimmicks seeing as they have to appeal to a PG audience, but they also know and understand what it means for younger people watching. That's why when New Day, Sasha Banks and Rich Swann are all champs they take that #BlackExcellence pic and then defend themselves by saying "Look we never saw any shyt like this growing up and watching. So we want black boys and girls today to see it."
Not gonna label them c00ns for dancing and smiling at work for a scripted live entertainment show aimed at kids.![]()
I Kinda dig his gimmick, he may do a better job than Orlando Jordan. What about Velveteen Dream![]()
Cmon man. Titus has way more charisma than Cesaroi agreed with you initially, but a white Titus would be cesaro.![]()
Cats on the Coli REALLY don't know what the word c--- means.
So fitting stereotypes and playing into them isn't c00ning? Especially when they do it just to be accepted? Smh some of y'all are c00ns yourself and don't even realize it.This thread pretty much proves that... so if you come out mad at the world you're a c00n playing an 'angry black man' role... but if you come out happy, you're a c00n cause you smiling.Which Way Did He Gooo
I guess nikkas just supposed to come out like![]()
Shucking and jiving has always been c00nery
They wouldn't get this push if they weren't dancing for the white man and they weren't getting a push when they didn't do that
