Shangri-La
this dude is palling around with all these libertarian conservatives :mjpls:

The dude is full of shyt. It’s almost like they think Black people at these institutions are incapable of forming their own minds and thoughts. As a note, By and large the presence is non-AA, non-impoverished backgrounds anyway. (Not giving any statement just a pic of the representation).

poor white people--like many poor people--don't vote because they correctly realized the system doesn't work for them.

The MAGA whites you see on cameras are mostly middle class.
Do the facts support that?
West Virginia is at the heart of Appalachia, which is poor white central.

Article from one of the media outlets there said that there was record voter turnout for the state in 2020.

In fact, the Appalachia region was solidly red, and I'd guess that voter turnout peaked in those counties in 2020.
Poor whites are MAGA, breh. Probably make up a sizable % of Trump followers.

One, this is just one state. I don't know how it is in other states and we haven't seen any data yet. But more than that, last year was basically the first time that happened since another transformational election in 2008. (Obama presidency, COVID19/Get Trump the fukk out/absentee ballot voting)

The trends show that since 1984, poor people do not vote at the same rates as people in higher income brackets.

When you say "poor people" as opposed to the working class who are you talking about?

*I said that the other counties in the states that make up Appalachia probably had peak turnouts due to MAGA, like WV did.

You implied that MAGA wasn't made up of poor whites. Trump galvanized that segment of the country by exploiting their resentment of Obama as their president. The LBJ quote comes to mind .

I’ll tell you what’s at the bottom of it,” he said. “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”

Interesting that the title of the study you linked was "unleashing the voting power of poor people". Among other things, that's what Trump has been able to do.

nikka, shut up. You don’t like lower class and poor people and have said since you started posting in this section.

I provided a link that shows poor people don’t vote in America, and it specifically cites the MAGA election of 2016. You went ahead and showed me a LBJ quote because you don’t have any evidence to refute what I said.

Poor people don’t vote in America. The MAGA dummies that follow Trump around America are mostly the white middle class to affluent types.

Yes they do. Trump’s success with poor whites was notable because they don’t normally vote, just like poor people of all races. Trump got an uptick in poor whites in many states, but poor whites still vote at much lower rates than middle class ones. Trump’s base of support is middle income and upper middle income whites.

He is not even making a class reductionist argument you fuccing clown.

No he’s making a class reductionist argument. He is burying it in his article and making it for different reasons other than a Marxist would.
