That Tapaito verse is right there with Scotty Pipens. Holy shyt

"You ain't eat with us, you ain't sleep with us
bussin shot 223's with us
Pack ran out of Ac you ain't ever fiend for that lean with us
it was stomach aches, heartbreaks,
warrants off the missed court dates
Eviction notice, about to call the county
Sent the rent about a million months late
White shyt,
now that's the type shyt to put a nikka in a murder mind state
Roll the blunt and lace it with the girl
Got a nikka zooted in another world
Got the Tony-Tony on the desk top like a mac pro
Mom and Pop ain't really have the job to get me lego blocks so I stacked dough
I wait until my nikka Mac counts, seen a hundred thousand on the trap floor
Got the strippers in here bussin packs down, blow her back down
She a trap hoe
Got the shooters at the front and the back door
:whew::whew:

Solid tape. Nothing more. The new boom bap trend of weak ass drums needs to stop immediately. So many of these beats woulda been 10 times better with simply a harder snare hit. Imagine shook ones with a snare you could barely hear. Smh. I'm sorry but this shyt ain't spoken word. Still a solid effort. Especially from Gibbs. But these 3 guys are capable of a lot more. I know it's frowned upon in here to be critical of "real" hip hop, but I speak what I feel:yeshrug:.......gimmie the real boom bap I can actually break my neck to. This is the same complaint I have about Griselda production. Boom bap producers trying too hard to be retro nowadays. The shyt is not "cool" or unique. It's just lazy.

But not hating on anybody who loves this. Everybody moves on a different frequency and obviously a lot of yall are connecting with this shyt. I just wish I was feeling it the same way:yeshrug:

I feel you to a degree....weak or no drums is why i dont fw Daringer or most of the Griselda shyt.

I agree one or two of the traks could used slightly harder snares but the whole vibe was more laidbac not on sum rugged street shyt.

However having loud smakkin ass drums on every song wouldnt have worked

You wanted a Yankee fitted n Timbs type sound....this wasnt going to be that :manny:

At the end of the day, they made the album they wanted. So if they love it, it don't matter what anybody thinks. But I do feel like alchemist's production over the past few years has gotten repetitive. It's like he's trying to be madlib or some shyt. I was hoping he was gonna bust out some "break the bank" type shyt on here. I love all 3 of these guys but this particular sound just isn't for me I guess :yeshrug:

"In my dreams I see faces of death
I'ma pray for you hoes, get your Rosary, cross your chest"

"Pour the up holy water all up in the Jesus piece
Wash a real nikka's sins away
Yeah, took it from the devil's mouth
I hammer nets on the roof of the devil's house
Chop a dime bag or chop with the metal out
Percocet, weed and codeine brought the devil out
Brought coke in momma house, let the devil in
Dropped us a zip, took on off, ain't gone never win
I'm so sick of these fukkin' rap groupies
I need to find some good p*ssy to settle in
Hit my plug with the strap, p*ssy boy
Wanna jack up the pack and a nikka can't settle for it
I just hit her to death
All he do is smoke wet on the steps
And a nikka might hit 'em for it
Six figures, most nikkas never saw it
Almighty dollar, nikka can't ignore it
Light, gas bill, nikka can't afford it
Put him on that wet and even wet 'em for it"

Yo Chill Gibbs :damn:
