I can afford congestion pricing and can write it off. I don't think the majority of people that have to drive have that luxury. I also wonder the deeper you dive into income brackets the number of people who even own cars in the first place... which I would assume skews the numbers. I also know a lot of the working class/government people where I live drive because they have to not because it's a luxury.
Never mind the fact this extra revenue generated is going to who?

More money for uncle Guido and the MTA mafia to milk while the subways get even more jam packed ?

If you had a competent dependable public transportation system I'd be all for this but NYC is nowhere near having that...

We need auditors and investigations before the MTA gets another tax payer penny...

That's step one to fixing the problem...

The people of NYC deserve to know how the MTA spends OUR money...

Wish we could tell how often they go max or close to max speeds. It's only aneceotal but I'm not feeling any speed difference :francis:

the trains in paris and london are noticeably faster than mass transit train i've ever been on in the states.
i was generally impressed with their subway system.
The ones in Paris have many scheduling conflicts. I experienced a few myself when there.

The tube is very nice. But the difference between those and New York City is NYC is 24-hours and those close overnight.

i was only in Paris for a few days.
figuring out the ticket system was a little difficult...never really figured it out and spent way too much on tickets.
would up leaving a shyt load of them on the table at the airbnb for whoever stayed there next.
the tube was dope but no AC in the cars.

the 24 hour aspect of NYC's mass transit is goat status.

I know with London at least where I stayed the stops were very close to one another as well but it certainly felt most fast.

Can't really remember Paris

Madrid, Barcelona, Vienna, and Frankfurt were also nice

I know one thing that always impressed me was how nice the stations were compared to here and the trains were significantly newer and more quiet.
