I do wanna go back and finish up...paying off only 15k in debt right now for about 50-60 credits..but i really feel like i should be investing in myself b, but i have no passion to complete a degree in a specific field...ugh back to the drawing board

Murica is lawless (no matter how much they act like it isn't).....women by nature are generally law abiding, hence all ready capping the ceiling of the ambitious black woman in Murica. System saddles her with debt, uses passive aggressive racist tactics to pull the rug from under her on vertical career movement, but still mass markets media/industry/corporate consumption efforts to her in mass......causing impulsive foolish trips to the mall and self defeating spending habits. Education with a stat quo American career plan (for the black woman) is a bait and switch for the black woman.....wake up ladies

Dont sleep on Community Colleges. Those are great ways to save $$ your first 2 years. A lot of them now have partnerships with Universities in their cities as well for a seamless xfer if you want to get your bachelors.

No one cares where you went to school for all 4 years, they just wanna know what your diploma says

My ex was an attorney but was HORRIBLE with money.
She had about 230k in negatively amortizing student loans.
I never told her this but that was a big part of the reason I broke up with her.

That debt burden is not unusual in law

In fact 1 in 3 blk women are actually business owners. Which is why I roll my eyes at people talking about blk women on welfare b/c the majority of blk women have never used welfare and in fact only 1/2 of blk single moms are below the poverty level.

As for the single mom stats, FINALLY somebody gets it! So tired of carrying the burden for being a trifling baby mama when most of us don't even have children OOW.
And your right, 1 Shenqua having 3 to 4 of the blk kids being born is where those single mom stats get skewed.
It's unfortunate but those are the baby boomers for our race by multiple blk men.
Problem is, for whatever reason educated blk men and educated blk women aren't getting together and making children at the same rate. A lot of blk women are actually unwilling to be single mothers so they don't have kids at all. And even if blk women did lower their economic expectations which many do, white supremacy strikes again with blk male incarceration rates which takes millions of blk males out of our community OR gives them jail time which economically cripples them when they get out of prison.
You can't TELL me this shyt isn't by design.

My previous ex has been a college student since 2009 to this day. And no semester breaks either.
She spent her time getting ran through by the student-athletes(her favorites were basketball and soccer players) rather than studying. She transferred schools 2 times before coming to mine and thats how we met. She cheats on me and eventually becomes on academic probation and lost all her friends. This past year she transfers AGAIN from my school to another school to start over and clean up her reputation that she made at her previous two schools. She claims this reason is because she wants a proper college experience.
As if she wasn't already taking advantage of the college experience the past 8 years. Only this now at her new school(and an expensive private school in NYC where tuition is outrageous), she's taking out loans since her parents aren't paying her tuition anymore so she knows she can't bullshyt her way in college this time.
There is no statistic about Black women becoming the breadwinners.
There are not that many Black men in trade school or trades, there aren't that many Black men graduating with what you call "useful degrees" there are many, many Black in in liberal arts majors, and PhDs mean quite a but. White supremacy isn't pushing Black women toward college.
You may as well stop posting, your grasp of the world around you is probably on the level of an infant swaddled in a blanket.
Less than 1% of the general pop. has more than one undergrad or masters degree.
Black women are more educated than Black men, if your definition of education is centered on undergraduate and graduate degrees.
And there's a whole thread on here about dusty nikkas scared to marry a woman who graduated college because it emasculates them.
I don't plan on marrying down, nor do I fault anyone else for not wanting to either.
I'm not sure what debt has to do with "chickens" and "roosting."
Maybe you should try finishing that Malcolm X book, instead of skimming it for barbershop talk breh
