yeah, people are overlooking the fact that this isn't some random stranger or neighbor to Kyle, this is his wife's ex husband and step children's father. he clearly didn't have any weapon with him. so it's not like he was coming in there to kill anyone.

It became self defense when dude got hostile and grabbed his gun. He could say he thought dude was gonna take the gun away and shoot him with it. Even after the warning shot to the ground dude still went at him.

It's self defense but only bc the property owner escalated it. I don't know how that works tho

The victim wasn't trespassing because he was there to get his child per court ordered visitation. Kyle fukked up when he fired the "warning shot" because the victim had not assaulted him at that point so Kyle committed the crimes of brandishing a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon.

Much like in the Arbery case, when someone assaults you with a firearm you are within your rights at that point to self defense, so the victims grabbing the gun at that point was lawful.
