Dude is going to jail. He had plenty of time to retreat to safety if he felt his life was threatened. Going in the house were he was safe and coming back out with a gun later is premeditated murder.

Also If the victim was supposed to have his kid at 315 and the exwife was not cooperating or he had any reasonable suspicion that his kid was in the house then he wasn't in the wrong to be there. Courts don't play about visitation time if you document it. 315 is 315. Not 320 or 330.

Absolutely murder and motherfukkers defending it are on some bullshyt. The guy who got murked didn't "threaten" anyone with physical violence, he said he was going to subpoena them. You can't threaten someone with a gun just because they say they're gonna follow a legal process, you can't fire a shot when he hasn't posed any threat to you, and you can't shoot them in clear space when they're standing there with their hands at their side and aren't an immediate threat to you.

Texas has broad-ass laws that say you can brandish a gun in defense of your life, other's lives, or your property...but which of those three did the guy who got shot pose a threat to? He didn't once threaten to hurt anyone or to take or damage any property until the perp pulled a gun on him.

Then again, it's Texas, and some folk here want that wild wild west shyt exactly like certain white Texans do. Not to mention shooter is the leader of the "Lubbock 2nd Amendment Association" or some shyt so you know they get turned on by the thought of getting to take another's life with a gun.
He did threaten the guy with violence though

Shooter wasn't even with his "current wife", apparently he was still married to that judge and having an affair with this woman. She divorced him AFTER the shooting. :mjlol:

Carruth’s now-ex-wife filed a countersuit in her divorce proceedings to exclude her ex-husband from their Lubbock home on 9th Street.

In the affidavit, according to the newspaper, Anne-Marie Carruth wrote she was “notified that my husband, William Kyle Carruth, is under investigation for the shooting and killing of his girlfriend’s children’s father after he attempted to pick up his children late Friday afternoon. My knowledge of the incident is very limited at this time, and it is my understanding that the police are still investigating.”
shyt keeps getting wilder :russ:

Wasn't a shotgun...

And yes, this is Texas... So take your dumbass back to your car and wait for Police. Don't say you're gonna take my rifle and use it against me... Then try and grab the rifle...:stopitslime:

Damn. Couldn’t tell if it was a shotgun or a rifle in the video, and I’m a firearms enthusiast. Good looking.
:ehh:

Yeah. I doubt that dude is charged with anything, let alone murder. Stupid idiot wants to wrestle with a man holding a rifle and telling you to leave his property? Texas is gonna Texas. I love the Republic of Texas. I’ve been to Lubbock quite a few times.

first off, looks like a bunch of trump supporters to me... since it's cac on cac violence, i'm not emotionally invested in this issue one way or the other.....

nevertheless, i'm going to step foot inside of the boyfriend's shoes for a second....

i want the father off my property... he's agitating me and he's agitating my woman.... granted, it was once his woman, of which he's had two children with, but she is not his woman anymore, she's my woman now... dude is getting loud and is disturbing my chill and the chill of everyone else involved.... hmm, how do i solve this....?

i want peace and quiet and this dude off my property, so uh, let me go get a gun, kill this dude, then marry my girlfriend... because of course the two kids are not going to be mad at me or disturb my chill when they are living with me and are upset that i killed their father....

the point i'm trying to make is regardless of whether we want to say the father was trespassing or not or whether we want to make the argument that the father should have just left or waited for the police or whatever, was it worth it to the boyfriend to pick this solution to his problem....? if he simply cared about his girlfriend and wanted to marry her, the kids come with the package... if he cared about her, he'd care about them... if he cared about them, he'd refrain from choosing that remedy, whether justified/legal or not.....

let's just face it, some of you just don't value life and are okay with "protecting" property at any cost, even to one's own self.....
