If you missed a payment then you went 30 days past the due date. Yeah they gonna blast you especially when all you had to do was pay the minimum to not miss it within a month. I have 6 or so cards I use frequently and probably 10 total and I've missed 1 payment in 21 years and that was 21 years ago when I was a teenager in my first year of credit.

Auto pay on some credit cards will make a payment even if you do.

Do they refund the money? Auto pay can usually be set to the minimum payment so I think paying twice is better than missing a payment

I never said that at any point of my post. I said 125k platinum welcome offer (as points). I figured if you’re really in the card game you’d know what I’m referencing is not a card limit but the welcome offer points. But I guess I keep forgetting what site I’m on.
