I fukking hate points :mjlol: Dem nyggas said I got 20k in points, but can only afford a knife set :what:

As for Debit/Credit here is my plan.

Credit always online; for fraud protection

Debit for small time purchases. Usually I keep that shyt to $200 max, that's it but never use it online. The only time I did was with Expedia for a London vacation in which I put $2500 on the card and then instantly ordered for 2300.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NEVER USE A DEBIT ONLINE. That shyt is harder to recover fraud from.

It's a hint, Thats the only way your gonna get out of your debts

December of this year a nicca score gonna flourish :blessed:

Made some poor choices when I was younger.

I agree with the stack your paper crowd, but you gotta play the game to get ahead, and if you get the point where you have enough cash to bow out do that.

Always pay more than the minimum. Every once in awhile when you get a better offer in the mail call the highest apr card you have and see if they can match the offer. Got my Amex with 0% apr for 22 mos or something like that. Don't have to pay interest till mid 2015.

If you have a credit union membership they will usually rock with you the easiest since they know you are local and don't have to chase you down on the other side of the country.

Pay more than the minimum, pay off the balance and you'll cook brehs. Most cards have usually a 6 month or more no interest as well. My citi preferred doesn't have interest until November of 2015 so I'm good for now. Also try to take advantage of the cash back rewards also.

They usually have categories they cycle through each 3 months or so. My Discover card has 1% cash back on all purchases but sometimes I may get 3% back for gas or movies or even just ordering stuff online. Like someone else said, stack your paper up, pay off the balance each month and you'll essentially get paid to use your card.

A good app I recommend is check. It essentially connects to your bank account and your credit card accounts, utility and cable bills and allows you to pay everything in one place. If you don't want to do that just set up auto pay through your bank and that will be great a idea too.

I wouldnt bother. Use cash and a debit card. There are banks that will do manual underwriting for a mortgage and you can request that for apartments as well. Cars you buy in cash so no need to get a loan for that.

Even credit cards with points cause you to spend more than your normally would.

They are. Stay away. :demonic::demonic: pay everything off on time and dont overuse it. dont know about secured cards but should be same concept. if you young, focus on building your credit score up. many get caught in the traps of credit cards and get sunk to debt levels they shouldnt be in. took me some time to grind out of the quicksand and back to a decent score. heres an idea. if you used to surviving without a cc from before. use it to put gas in the car. then pay it off right after. that way its used for something you need and not for something you want. dont use it for anything else like food cuz the ease will get you, and try to stay below 30% usage. if the limit is 1000 then ur debt should be below 300. good luck.

a secured card is just a card that has some kinda asset as collateral to get the credit. basically cuz dude didn't have any credit history, they made him go the secured route.

I been big on the credit card game for a few years now. Ideally I like to sign up for cards with a very high bonus sign up offer such as Chase Sapphire 60K points last year. You should always pay off your credit card bills on time. Credit utilization is about 33% of your score. Ideally credit utilization, depending on who you ask should be from 2-10%. Meaning if your total credit is 10K, you shouldn't spend more than 1k a month. That's why carrying credit and not paying in full will mess up your score because it jacks up the utilization rate.

The types of cards you should get are the ones with points and high bonus sign up offers. I prefer Chase because they always have some bonus signups and they have the best customer service. My total credit limit is about 80K in total spread out in about 6 cards. Highest credit on 1 card is 25K on my Chase card.

I think that's like he had to put some money into the card first as collateral right? I don't trust those cards. Do they even help credit score much?
