I just have3 cards all of which I've had for about 12 years. I doubt I will ever get another CC
on my Chase I've redeemed $474 in points since I got it. I have $120 in points right now yet to redeem.
on my Discover I've redeemed $949.87
on my Amex I've gotten $925 redeemed and I'm sitting on $353 right now.

In about 3 years that's $2822 in credit card rewards I've came across total. Granted probably about $500 of that was sign up bonuses that's still a lot of money back for money I spent.

I bought an iPhone, a PS4 Pro, and an Xbox One as an example just off reward points with nothing out of pocket really. I'm not buying stuff just to get points. Perhaps I could be a bit more frugal in my spending but the point is it's worth considering redoing your credit card setup to maximize rewards for money you already spend.

Like with the US Cash+ card if you spend $90 a month on cell service and you keep utilities as a category for quarterly cash back for 3 years that's 2 free months just about in cell service for money you would have spent anyway cause that's $160 cb.

If you shop at grocery stores and average $300 a month on a Blue Cash Preferred that's $650 almost in cash back over 3 years for money you would have spent anyway.

On 12 year old cards? :usure:
My current setup was 3 years old and I probably lost out on several hundred dollars in cash back because of a few cards I didn't have like the US Cash+ and Citi Double Cash.

Naw that joint a secured card:lolbron:.

My 1st card ever. I keep just to keep it
Not sure if you can do this w/ a secured card, but I'd call them and try to get them to switch you to a Quick Silver. You can easily turn that $300 limit into a couple grand in a year to 18 months.

You never checked out newer cards to see if they have better Benefits than your current ones?

Thats what I'm saying and dude got grouchy at me.

If you have good credit you can just call up or message a bank and they can product change you into a better card if they offer it.
Facts. I did that with my 2 Capital Ones & my chase. Wasn't getting any points/cash back for 6-8 years smh

Yall care about sharing details?

Like on myfico people share

  • Creditor and product applied for
  • Approved/Denied
  • Amount approved
  • Credit score when applying and. Source of your info (fico/credit karma/credit sesame)
  • Bureau(s) they pulled

I dont plan on applying for any cards in the next 15 months but when i was applying for stuff i would always look at those threads to know where i stood.
