no, these people are stubborn and ignorant enough to blow off decades worth of scientific progress, the same scientific progress that, for example, saves their life in hospitals and makes their lives easier on a daily basis. even church leaders have accepted evolution as being highly probably true, but these people are content to wallow in their ignorance, being selectively outraged by scientific progress.
