Definitely lost a lot of money last week.
Yea man. I still haven't made any moves yet. I was reading today about investing in emerging markets like india and China because of their continuous growth and how America's economy and innovation has reached its apex. Interesting read. Duke was saying how innovation in those countries is still benefiting from the tech revolution. He was also talking about since the economy is not growing like it used to then your stock return is smaller. Used to be 10% now between 5-7 sometimes smaller. Not bad he said. He was also talking about the stock market currently NOT being in a bubble. That a bubble is when stocks are worth double their true value. It was out of a magazine called Kiplinger.

me it was when i was 18...i had a full scholarship to college for undergrad plus a 3000 a dollar a semester grant from the state (IT fellowship I was recommended for and won since I showed promise in computer Science according to a professor)

that 3000 was basically refund money...now i would have used it to buy a car back then but my dad stopped me..explained that i could get a start on building a portfolio with it...turned out to be good advice :obama:

:dwillhuh: rich ass nikka

What stocks do you invest in if you dont mind me asking

Bunch of Vanguard funds that are in the Betterment portfolio. Off the top of my head, VEA, VTI, couple of ishares bonds.
Lots of DODGX. Outside of that I've been buying Wal mart as it's been going down. I pick up shares of BRK.B every few months or so.
Commodities are down too I'm thinking of buying some of that.

Nothing real exciting.

With vanguard, the minimum to open an account was 5k. I'm with arierl now and I just opoenes up an account for a stack. Betterment has no min open so you can open one with a few hundred. Just make sure its a no load mutual fund and you straight.
I HAVE to open an acct with them simply because of Melody Hobson (Mrs. George Lucas)
