I'm 22 (no debt, clean record, no kids) and it feels like I should take your advice but I don't know what any of this means.

22... goddamn. :whew: It's actually very simple, breh.

  1. If you have a job that offers a 401(k), sign up as soon as you can and contribute up to the company match (typically 5 or 6%).
  2. You can google "ROTH IRA" and follow any of the links to get started on your 2nd retirement account. Try to max it out every year.

join betterment. This site layout is great, and they're helpful with tips. Plus it's a good start for novices, since they everything is automated and all you set is allocation.

I'm the same way. I've been a bit precious with some money too. i want my checking account to hit 20k, but then I'm like "why?" It's wasting there.


I just put 500 more into my account :obama:

Y'all know how to go about finding and claiming unclaimed funds?

Like say I opened up a roth several years ago and havent touched it/opened it/logged in for a long ass time...how would one go about finding that account?:leostare:
