Cloud computing isn't exclusive to MS. All these companies have dedicated server networks either with the console maker themself, publishers, or even at the developer level. If it's where console gaming is headed, then cool.

I am personally just fearful of them trying to remove the console box itself and make everyone go to a streaming only solution. They don't have to say anything because that's what they all want. No need to make hardware anymore just stream shyt. It's pretty blatant as to what they are trying to do, I just hope it doesn't happen anytime soon.

EA won't give Dice enough money for more servers to end the out of region bullshyt. They need to stop being cheap.

Breh third party developers will be the last to use this technology just too expensive. Sony never will because they don't have the money or resources. The only third party who could probably do it is EA sering that they have a relationship with Xbox Live and Xbox.

Yes, cloud computation is something that can be used in games and this is one of those cases.

Game looks rough, but it's pre-alpha so it's understandable.

This could be a trait of the Crackdown series, but, the snippets of Gunplay shown in the First Look trailer and the clip you linked looks...just like Crackdown which isn't really a compliment. Crackdown's shooting has always been really abysmal for an open world shooter, specifically the side/circle strafing and gun-feedback. Seems like more pellet gun nonsense. It's also really noticeable that the textures for buildings/characters aren't applied properly but again the game's in pre-alpha.

Just hope it's something that can be fixed when the game is shown more.

Sony has the resources. They bought Gaikai which is a huge server farm. They are using it for PS Now obviously right now, but they absolutely can do it.

EA is the largest Publisher in the world and they have dedicated servers around the globe on multiple titles on their own network. They can do it as well easily.

Activision the same thing.

Your smaller devs who don't have that would obviously need someone to host and that's where MS has an advantage for those who need it.
